Go REMS

Yes BG...they should go. I know you are a big fan of REMS but with all due respect, this is a company that has illegally taken a LOT
of money from the Town...on top of piles of public cash...while campaigning for an unnecessary tax district...which only now that
their scam was crushed are they finally and miraculously able to survive as the business they should have always been. Now TJ
Hooker is trying to get REMS guaranteed business via the ems contract....on the backs of the same taxpayers they ripped off.

It will be interesting to see if the third and necessary vote to contract with REMS will be bought by TJ...and how. BG is his only
hope...never mind that TJ spends every waking moment dreaming of new ways to make that guy as miserable as possible...but
if I know BG, he will fall for it again...he always does...knowing that the Kratz will stick it to him every time.

Thank you Tippy for the notes.

The ems contract is shaping up to be another scam. FDG literally said that we should wait for the AG investigation to be completed and guilt is
determined...no, I'm not kidding!

What FDG does not understand is that the AG is not investigating whether REMS took the cash...we already know they did BY THEIR OWN ADMISSION,
Mr. Supervisor. The AG is investigating the illegal process that fostered this rip off. To think that any member of this Board would even consider REMS
for an ems contract IMO is a gross violation of the public trust. This is an organization that admits to illegally collecting and retaining hundreds of
thousands of dollars that belongs to the Town...with no stated intention of reimbursing the Town. And now they are considering placing REMS in a
position to access all that money again? I would ask FDG...if you found out that an accountant you hired to keep your books at your business had
admitted to taking a half million dollars of YOURS...regardless of what they claim to have done with it...would you hire that accountant again???? I'm
betting he wouldn't...and he has no business imposing the same on taxpayers. I'm also hearing that BG, once a fierce proponent of private ems, is
now being bought by the TJ Hooker pro-REMS crew...which explains FDG's shift while he has been calling for an audit of the ALS funds then turns around
and tries to defend them...telling us they have been "servicing the Town for years". How ridiculous...REMS didn't even exist until just a few years ago,
and until they started their tax scam campaign again as the newly merged REMS, they dropped more than half of their calls....while collecting one
bailout after another...stealing ALS funds along the way.

be careful of accusing private citizens and/or a private corporation of stealing ... you might end up in court again

REMS took the ALS cash by their own admission...they did so without the required contract...and there is no accounting of the funds
because they were not recording receivables they knew they weren't supposed to keep. I call that theft.

BTW, will you be scorning REMS now that they have no choice but to operate "for profit"....as you did with Mohawk???

gadfly, the way it was explained to me was that there were plenty of people on the town board that KNEW rems was taking that money...If ST and rems had a verbal agreement, where the ALS payments were to be collected and kept by the ambulance, then there's really no way to get them for theft. Just because it wasn't written doesn't mean it's not a contract. If anything, I think your beef is with ST. Perhaps he overstepped his authority as super. I don't think the ambulance did anything outside of what it was allowed to do by ST for survival. But I guess we'll see if any of these AG complaints shake out.

Yes...at the very least, ST and JM knew. ST had no statutory authority whatsoever to make any such agreement on his own...verbal
or otherwise. My beef is with everyone who facilitated this scam...all of whom need to be identified and brought to account.

If REMS really believed they were legally keeping that money then it should have been recorded...and an audit would tell us
exactly how much they retained and where it went...but it wasn't...that's why their only answer to the question of where all that cash
went is "operations"....and they can't even prove that....or how much for that matter...because they always knew they were not
legally allowed to retain those funds....as did ST...which is why ST slipped in 120G for REMS on his way out after losing the election...he
knew they would no longer be able to do that and he replaced what they were taking through the budget...slick move.

The AG isn't trying to determine guilt...they already know REMS took the money by their own admission. The AG is more interested
in exactly which individuals were involved and the extent of their involvement...and I suspect that they will go from there.

One can only 'suggest' and 'assume' and draw their own conclusions... since there are apparently no documented facts for where this $$$$$ went.

A half a mill awol, is something rotterdamians should not take lightly.

Not good at organizing their finances????? A HALF A MILL?????

Hmmmmm......next time a business can't show where a HALF A MILL went, I'm sure the IRS will understand. Or perhaps it depends on who they hire as an attorney.

Just wondering, but who says that "they have no choice but to operate "for profit?""  They may actually be more effective and prosperous still doing business as a non-profit corporation.
