Listen DVR--we know you can post all during Lent YOU were the one who said you gave us up for Lent. Well 27 years ago is a lonnnnnng time. I, too, was approached to run for office on the Rep ticket for Council I think about 30 years ago by Vito himself. I was totally against JC and considered it for about three minutes but the amount of time needed was beyond the commitment I could make.

I did not attend the town board meeting -- I stopped by at the very end to speak to someone.

It doesn't really matter who started the rumors -- the rumors are untrue.
As for Lent - I am still giving up this board -- but certain untruths needed to be addressed and some people private message me here .. so I needed to check that out. In regards to 27 years ago, it was for a office higher than town level. I was very good friends with the individuals from the GOP (they are all now dead) who wanted me to run for a certain office -- but I wasn't about to switch my party registration from Democrat to Republican .. then .. nor would I do so now.

As to the title of the thread "Severson a Republican" -- I have not switched parties nor do I intend to switch parties. I have not approached with the GOP to run for anything -- although the GOP did approach me 27 years ago to run for a political office ... and I have never met Ms. Donovan - at least that I know of.
And he never heard of Jim Constantino either, back when high up Republicans WANTED HIM for higher office.

I am positive we haven't seen/heard the last of him before Easter. I can kinda understand the excuse to defend untruths (not really)....but how does that tie into the other posts he is doing that have nothing to do with righting personal wrongs on his part......pretty hypocritical!!!! Why would anyone even consider voting for a person like this if he ran for office? You can't rely on his information. You can't rely on his word. You can't rely on him doing anyting he says he will do.......would voters not really see that? PS - Guess this is another personal attack on him so he will again have to break his lent promise so he can respond to my "untruths".

Back when I was a catholic, and unless the pope changed rules AGAIN........whatever a catholic gave up for lent, they were allowed to indulge on sundays. So if the catholic rules haven't changed, and since you said you gave up this board for lent.........you can only click/read/post on sundays.
Again.....that's if the pope didn't rewrite their books!

No bashing here. I went to catholic school and was raised catholic. Just not one anymore. Those were the rules. Was responding to DVR's 'lent' post. And unless the catholic rules have changed again, (like the eating meat on friday), catholics can break their lental sacrifice on sundays.

then it would be a conversation after one was dead as to one's 'status'.....and Judas was already known to be doing what he did as per God's plan....so that would make ALL of us a Judas and our wasted conversations about abortion and the likes mean nothing....it's just that personal between the created and the creator......I wonder how full my jar of pebbles is???? will I weigh out?
