ok, so I missed the slander stuff, how was FDG slandered and by who?

You can check out the letter that was supposedly sent prior to the last election at the following post:

http://rotterdamny.net/m-1267824061/s-36/#num36

The rest is history.

(I say supposedly due to the fact that it was posted here, but I never saw or confirmed outside this board the fact that this letter existed.)

I don't remember the wording behind it, but I believe (please someone correct me, if I'm wrong, couldn't find the post of it), that then Republican chair Gerard Parisi made some deragatory comments about FDG, which led the entire Democrat ticket to refuse to take part in the one and only scheduled debate prior to the last election.

Mr. Parisi accused Mr. DelGallo of being illiterate.   That was highly offensive.

Thanks Kevin, as I thought, slander? Hardly, they letter said that others made claims of FDG having challenges with a couple things, and oh yeah, it was a letter between two individuals where these claims were addressed.  Now how did the public ever become aware that the sentence was even put in the personally addressed letter, oh thats right, Mr. Cook released it and twisted all the intent of the letters question.  And funny I am starting to remember this now, when an opportunity came to answer the question, all the dems hid under a rock instead of going to meet the canidates or doing any debates (League of woman voters ring any bells, lol).  Then there is the town board meetings that we all watch on video here......pretty telling video that there may have been some valid "claims by people", FDG is a self made millionaire, that is great and he maybe a wonderful person, doesn't mean he isn't either by asking questions to answer voter concerns, so? Slander? Really?  not unless the definition of slander is concern!!

GP, the then rotterdam chair, sent out campaign literature stating that FDG lacked the intelligence and/or education for the super's position. Although a bit harsh, the dems knew this to be true. The dems just used FDG for his money and name recognition.  FDG hadn't voted in 20 years prior and knew nothing about the politics of rotterdam. Yet the dems continued to support and protect FDG from public speaking, hence the denial to attend the candidate's debate. And although the dems insisted that they were boycotting this debate due to GP's negative campaigning, everyone knew that FDG, as well as the other candidates were not equipped.

Today, some rotterdamians are beginning to look at fdg in another light. Putting aside his political behavior, he clearly is not one who will play politics......even with his own party...the cons, now dems. FDG won't play 'rotterdam politics as usual'.

He was basically used by both the rotterdam cons and the rotterdam dems!!

That is the quote from Mr. Parisi's letter to Mr. Cooke in 2009 --- he clearly implies that Mr. Del Gallo is illiterate --  that was an class-less, offensive and unnecessary comment to make.

"Additionally, your candidate has already disseminated many statements and misinformation with regard to Supervisor Tommasone which is in direct violation of the League of Women Voters Fair Campaign Pledge.  Furthermore, we do not believe Mr. DelGallo is even close to being qualified to be the supervisor of our great Town of Rotterdam for the following reasons:

1.     He has never disclosed his level of formal education and training.
2.     Several people have claimed/alleged that he may not even be able to read and write on his own.  The town is a complex operation. "

Furthermore -- 2 members of the Democratic did attend the candidate forum at the Senior Center in 2009 --so the claim that "no democrat attended" is false.

Yeah you showed up to tell the fascist league how to handle things. They bowed and listened as fellow traveler socialists do without compunction as to what is right and wrong. It was a disgusting display of them playing interference and no allowing the audience to even ask questions. The only thing they were missing were Alsatian dogs, lugars on their hips and red arm bands judging by the scary and totalitarian way they acted out their camp guard routine.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

I have never - to my knowledge - spoken with a fascist nor given a fascist instructions on how to do anything.
