If Buffardi really runs, nobody will be able to catch him.  And yes BT I did say that FDG would blow everybody OUT and HE DID.  He's the Super and you're still wondering why?  Thak Mertz and McGarry for starting a third party.  That's what put him over the top for sure.  But people were just plain sick of ST even his own Rep party.

why? because the plebs are star struck????

This is 2011 not 2009. Residents have gotten a belly full of DEM "working together". Higher taxes, a missing clerk and a totally dysfunctional town bored. Hard to blame the REPS when they are not represented? Had enough-YET?

HB is a possible improvement but some tough questions must still be answered. The REPS are down but not down for the count. 2011 will be a bad year for DEMS with the stink of FDG/BG/Landslide Savage still perfuming the air.

I have looked many a times and know in advance you will not be pleased with what you find when you look.

What is the difference in the presentation of the bankrupt scenario?  ANS: A bunch of spoiled and ruthless yuppies of which most are attorneys greasing the skids as they dot the "I's" and cross the "T's" walking with as much cash as they can today as they with a strong arm also lock in the productivity value of the next five to seven generations. Their presentation of prospective has worked easily and grandly for them over the last 70 years and there is nothing of any consequence stopping them as of today so the beat goes on!

Government "plays" great paupers to the media for presentation to the public while at the same time having the net worth of a million Bill Gates. The perspective you are spoon feed from your government is NOT in your interests but in theirs as the US / local government financial "empires" continues to expand Worldwide..

I don't think anyone is absolutely unbeatable...

FDG won, but I wouldn't call it a blow out...he only won by a couple of hundred votes...but you're right about ST and the third line,
which isn't a Party...ST would have won if not for that line...so I for one do not wonder how and why FDG became Supervisor...just
glad ST didn't win.

I agree with you. The thought of bailing out a dem/con with another dem/con won't be an easy pill to swallow for the rotterdamians.  The wicked witch of the west and the quarreling quartet has seen their day!!! The 'revitalizing rotterdam miracle' is about as popular as savage's 'miracle on state street'.

Replacing any dem/con with antoher dem/con is just about as brilliant as Stratton's.......'the water goes down'........!

Where did he mention "Cons"????...or replacing a Dem with another Dem????

Sounds to me like he simply sees the opportunities that lie ahead for GOP candidates.

Be careful Tippy, DVR will label you with an ISM for talking about a fellow committee person.

her comment was racist sounding -- a slur on his racial background .. and very inappropriate

I think generally it will not be a good year for Dems but I don't think it will be as bad as 2010.  HB will be a sizable improvement and the GOP has nobody.  McGarry is almost a ghose in this race.  I heard the other day, he was no planning on running ofr Leg.  Fact or fiction?  Anybody know?

I, the party of the first part (“the ruler”), promise:

(1) To stipulate how much of your money you will hand over to me, as well as how, when, and where the transfer will be made. You will have no effective say in the matter, aside from pleading for my mercy, and if you should fail to comply, my agents will punish you with fines, imprisonment, and (in the event of your persistent resistance) death.

(2) To make thousands upon thousands of rules for you to obey without question, again on pain of punishment by my agents. You will have no effective say in determining the content of these rules, which will be so numerous, complex, and in many cases beyond comprehension that no human being could conceivably know about more than a handful of them, much less their specific character, yet if you should fail to comply with any of them, I will feel free to punish you to the extent of a law made my me and my confederates.

(3) To provide for your use, on terms stipulated by me and my agents, so-called public goods and services. Although you may actually place some value on a few of these goods and services, most will have little or no value to you, and some you will find utterly abhorrent, and in no event will you as an individual have any effective say over the goods and services I provide, notwithstanding any economist’s cock-and-bull story to the effect that you “demand” all this stuff and value it at whatever amount of money I choose to expend for its provision.

(4) In the event of a dispute between us, judges beholden to me for their appointment and salaries will decide how to settle the dispute. You can expect to lose in these settlements, if your case is heard at all.

In exchange for the foregoing government “benefits,” you, the party of the second part (“the subject”), promise:

(5) To shut up, make no waves, obey all orders issued by the ruler and his agents, kowtow to them as if they were important, honorable people, and when they say “jump,” ask only “how high?”

Such a deal! Can we really imagine that any sane person would consent to it?

Your comment sounds quite racist.

i have a problem with foreign corporations dropping large amounts of cash on property in the middle of nowhere and then amending the rules for their vision  - it is the situation not the person

Mr. Z along with BI 'knew' these five would pass the zoning! Remember? the dems pulled out all the stops and handed Mr. Z.. Mr. Brick esq! DM and the rest of the 'old time rotterdamians' were cheering them on. The five bought the hype......hence.....Mr. Z is a devout dem supporter. That's how things work in rotterdam.

This is a recording? The residents are less than pleased with the all DEM working together implosion crew. Take another look at the REMS tax results which TJ Hooker strongly supported.

Let's all remember how TJ Hooker went from fire station to fire station or any venue that would listen to his spiel on how rotterdamians should suck up another tax hike for REMS. How well did that work out?

Between TJ Hooker's miserably failed attempt at shoving an unnecessary tax increase down the throats of all rotterdamians, to his outside influence that is causing mayhem on the rotterdam tb, to the public's general view of inadequate, irresponsible, tax and spend dems, to the independent candidates popping up all over the county, to the reps appearing to get good viable candidates....it WILL be an uphill battle for the dems and cons.....who are both responsible for the mess schenectady county is in!!

So who can put Buffardi's pros/cons in a neat little list?
