As far as paying bills go ---   Frank Del Gallo still owes money for campaign expenses that he incurred in 2009 and has yet to pay the bill for the attorney that he hired to advise him during the transition period --- the total sum owed is in the 5 digits  (with no decimal points).

What does DelGallo's debt to a private attorney have to do with lifelong bureaucrat Harry Buffardi's delinquent debt to the government?  The man wrote checks to politicians before writing a check to the government to pay his taxes.  You don't see a problem with that?

I don't know the circumstances surrounding the allegation that you are making and not really sure that you and the Nayboobs know the circumstances either.  99% of the items you folks post are lies, distortions and inaccuracies  --- but I do know the circumstances around Mr. DelGallo's failure to pay his bills.

I don't think these are "allegations".  The information speaks for itself.  The information came from NYS websites.  This isn't "hearsay".  This should be in the newspapers, and if we had any kind of legitimate news organizations that wasn't protecting their horse in the race we would hear of it.

There was TWO tax warrants issued, and the campaign financial disclosures, BOTH speak for themselves. These aren't allegations, they are proven FACTS.  There may be a reasonable explanation for WHY Buffardi chose not to pay his taxes on time and write checks to these candidates, but unfortunately, the residents of Rotterdam will not have an opportunity to hear it. Just like the days of Jimmy Constantino, the game plan is to cover up and circle the wagons, all hands on deck and protect the democratic candidate.

Hey....don't shoot the messengers here.....This is PUBLIC information...yes? And yes, perhaps it was just an accounting error or perhaps poor finances or perhaps just another elitist getting away with tax payments........but now rotterdamians will never know.

So much for vetting a candidate....yes?

EVERYONE gets a warrant placed on them. It is normal. If you don't pay your taxes, after about a year that happens. What is the big deal? Most people have a few, right? It is normal to screw up not once but twice! Especially when they have some book-keeper error, or have a landlord that was supposed to pay their sales tax. After all, when you get a license to collect sales tax via a "certificate of authority" most of the time you expect your landlord to collect the sales tax and make sure it is paid! Right? Also, I enjoy when people who bring in 200 grand a year in taxpayer dole DON'T pay what they are supposed to pay. I really enjoy that, but I think it is best kept "hush hush" because we are not vaunted journalistic professionals!

What surprises me even MORE than media bias (which I am used to and fully expect) is the ability of the media members to shut down their brain functions when hearing about democrap misdoings, errors, blunders and screw-ups. But if you are a Republican and you take a piss in the urinal and splash the side of it -WATCH OUT!!!!!

Folks, here is what matters to the mainstream media: If you are a Democrap you get a wider latitude of error and misdeed. If you are a Republican, you have no latitude! FACT. Am I wrong?

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Well here you go folks....it was said on this board that WC would not be looking to take the Super's job.  I still believe that based on people close to Calder.  (who are not related to JP)

R’dam supervisor race takes shape
John Purcell 03/10/11More articles

Former sheriff a top contender as endorsement for Del Gallo remains uncertain

Candidates for Rotterdam town supervisor are stepping into the spotlight as early interest has been expressed by many seeking to lead town government.

By the end of March, endorsements from the Democratic and Republican parties should be known, with former Schenectady County Sheriff Harry Buffardi being asked to run by the town’s Democratic committee, and current Supervisor Frank Del Gallo waiting to see who will back him in his bid for reelection. Del Gallo ran on the Conservative line but was cross-endorsed by the Democratic Party when he defeated Republican Steve Tommasone in 2009 by 250 votes. The majority of Del Gallo’s votes came from the Democratic ballot line.

“I’ve been here, and I didn’t finish the work I’ve got to do,” said Del Gallo. “I did a good job so far. Why wouldn’t they want me back? I actually did more in one year than the last three supervisors did in 10 years.”

Del Gallo had recently filed the forms to switch from a registered Conservative to Democrat, but the change would not go in effect until after the upcoming election. He said he plans to send out letters to all of the political parties for an endorsement in the upcoming election. Even if a party doesn’t endorse him, he said he will “run anyway, so it doesn’t matter.”

Buffardi has yet to confirm his bid for election, but he said he stepped up after being contacted for several months by party members and residents.

“Several people have contacted me over the past several months, some of them repeatedly, to ask me to step into the race,” said Buffardi. “It has been that interest that has kept me in the hunt.”

Buffardi said he was “heavily recruited” by the Rotterdam Democratic Committee.

“I think that it is going to unfold moving into the later part of March moving into April,” said Brian Quail, chairman for the county Democratic committee regarding the endorsements. “It is my understanding that a number of people have been talking about it.”

County Legislator and Rotterdam Democratic Chairman Tony Jasenski said many letters were received from interested candidates. He said the selection process is just beginning to unfold.

Jasenski said the committee has received a letter from Del Gallo seeking endorsement but hasn’t spoken to him personally about the election.

Buffardi said Jasenski had contacted him about running for the position.

“I do have an interest in Rotterdam, I am a Rotterdam boy, and I have been paying attention to local Rotterdam politics,” said Buffardi. “I think I can bring leadership and experience to that position if I was to run for it. As former sheriff, I had to deal with many difficult personnel matters. I have had experience making difficult decisions and acting on those difficult decisions.”

As a casual observer to the town’s government, he said he observed conflicts in economic development, and more time has been spent on disputes than more important matters.

“I don’t know if party politics is the most important issue here. … It is about collectively doing what is best,” said Buffardi.

Democratic board member Wayne Calder also agreed there is a lot of in-fighting on the Town Board.

Although Calder’s name has been mention in connection with a run for supervisor, he said he is only thinking about if he will run for his recently elected board seat.

“My view is I do care about the community, and I wanted to find the best fit for myself,” said Calder. “I don’t think there is going to be a lack of candidates for supervisor.”.....................>>>>.........................>>>>....................http://www.spotlightnews.com/n.....mp;utm_campaign=News
