The Tea Party was destined to become hi-jacked as they grew bigger. Back in 07,08,09 they were a real grass roots movement but then you seen the likes of Hannity, Beck using it to push their own agendas and beliefs. What put the nail in the coffin was when some made Sara Palin the so called voice of the Tea Party movement, that ended it for me. That is not to say I didn't support some of those elected that ran as tea party candidates because I have. |

The media appointed Sarah Palin the voice of the Tea Party. They did so for the exact reason you don't support it. They wanted a polarizing figure to attack to keep people from getting involved. Don't let the media manipulate you like that. I've heard Sarah Palin say on a few occasions, that she is not the voice of the Tea Party, and she even acknowledged that it has many leaders at the grassroots level. |

Don't worry I'm not turning liberal any time soon I will remain being involved in pursuing a small constitutional government, I do feel though as it is my duty to be vigilant against possible threats to it. So when I see some big government republicans trying to persuade the goals of say the Tea Party I will make my voice be known in order to point out that threat. |

When Ron Paul ran in 08 he was sneered at by other candidates. Funny thing is everything he said regarding the recession has come true. Many people came to realize this and then all of a sudden many politicians who talked down the Tea Party then joined, not because they believed in its principles ex. less government etc. but because they wanted votes.
Now when you listen to alot of politicians they are using alot of Ron Pauls ideas.
I'm registered Democrat but vote for the person not the party, am pro life, believe in war only to protect our borders. I believe we are too much into every other countries business telling them how they should live, and we have far too many troops in far too many countries. I think welfare should be a temporary thing not a lifelong handout. I believe the IRS should be abolished. And that foreign aid must be reigned in as we are broke. |

Ron Paul has a lot of good ideas but some ideas are a bit too radical in the eyes of some politicians |
