This is all very curious to me.  AS you kow, Ritano was the only non-political appointment in the senior center.  She had the background and the experience for the job until the Reps. turned it into a political arena.  It has been that way ever since.  Who continues to get screwed--the seniors.  Riitano had a little mischief maker but instead of running to Paolino to fire her, Riitano got somebody to offer her a different job with more money. LOL  And what is to become of Pina?  People been promising her the moon for years.

I dont know who these people are nor do I care....they can share the brass statue with brass balls too...we can put all their names
on it....just close the senior center already and let's get this town into the 21st century.....

Senders--use your head.  You cannot close the senior center because the rest of Rotterdam can't figure out to meet the needs of the elderly w/p a center.  Is Mr deGeorgio going to make home visits....for free?  Rotterdam does not have in its plan to make the Town a viable and livable community.  Therefore, you will continue with a parade of retreads and has beens.  Leave Marco alone---she is the better choice.

that's why no reason was given for her sudden, unexplained termination...because
there is no valid reason for it and vengeance does not qualify as a valid reason.

Vengeance because they are squabbling over which crony stays and which crony goes?????

Or is it perhaps because DM is another follower of TJ Hooker and TJ Hooker is trying to discredit FDG so TJ can get his political agenda through with his political cronies????

Some rotterdamians are saying it is vengeance...........exactly for WHAT???

if more is required for the elderly then having a daycare center for the elderly is the way to go.....not some fun/fancy 'retirement'
establishment....if our elderly are requiring more care, then having a 'senior center' with casino trips is NOT the right road.....
there would need to be medical needs which requires other licensing and regulations.....the town CANNOT AFFORD a senior
retirement center.....it's backwards thinking and it's not moving the town forward......and AARP/politicos have been using 'seniors' as
podium pucks for the past 10years(let's hear it for the boomers)....dont stop the grind of forward motion because you are now 60...

Yeah, Ritano was a complete stranger to Paulino.  Paulino didn't receive a dime of support from the Ritano's. Paulino didn't meet her until she walked off the street and handed in an application.

Those poor poor seniors

What happens to the ALS $

DM runs a tight ship

The apartments at 1066 curry road

The brass rail is great for seniors

A park where?

The seniors have built this town

What does that line mean in the budget?

Our seniors need a place to go

Sewers? we cant afford to let the town move forward

There are all kinds of trips for seniors

The baseball park came from the county

blah blah blah blah........

the tarot cards say Mr Griesmer will show up on tuesday and take over

DM will show up to ease the transition for Mr GQ(griesmer)

then Dunzy(RPD) will show up and put the CUFFS on her per Del Gallos request

DM will need to enlist Gadfly'help to deal with dunzy

why - because he can

Riitano is no stranger to Paolino...far from it...and to my knowledge Riitano has never claimed otherwise. They have known each
other for many, many years...which is why Paolino had an acute familiarity with Riitano's extensive background with senior citizens...
and why he asked her to run the Senior Center. Riitano turned it down the first time it was offered...too many other commitments
with the job she held at the time....so Jeanette Massaro was hired...but didn't work out...and the second time Paolino was able to
convince her to take the job.

I personally have no problem when elected officials appoint people with whom they are personally familiar to different positions,
as long as the appointee is suited for the position...and especially if they are the most qualified/experienced choice...and there
was no one more qualified to run that Senior Center than Riitano.

So qualified she was rarely there.  So that is what I hear at the Senior Center.

I agree, Ms Riitano put a LOT of time and effort into her programs and looking out for the seniors. Some of which, I understand, was personal time - off the clock.

Did Paolino ever go to bat the way he did for DM when Steve got rid of Riitano Brick Lucca Whipple Mazeijka Bruhns.  NOPE. Did Paolino ever once go to a TB mtg to defend his decesion to stuff a reval down the residents throats?  NOPE. What did he do!  He bailed for 80000k plus a huge pension plus SS.

OINK OINK.  And suspect motives with the DM drama. Old news. Move forward.

Paolino certainly did go to bat for Riitano.  And so did DM.  Are you nuts?   He blasted ST at a board meeting and than ran into Mertz in TH and offered to rearrange his face apparently so loudly that it could be heard in the stairwell.  Never there????  LOL Gadfly has got it right. She was always there. KNock it off Cis--you lost hands down with this one.  And when she left there was money in all of her budget lines because she was that thrifty with the Town's dollar.  ST and company had egg on his face.  You forget Paolino was the Super.  He had the floor just not the majority.  Even Vito Caruso told her what ST and company did was wrong.  Don't start Cis you could look mighty stupid on this issue very quickly.  And she was totally qualified and experienced.
