They need to get Death Ray Gillen more involved. Then it can look like St James Square in Nisky. Desolation Boulevard. But did you hear that nonprofit mooch Mercury Morris just bought 3 more businesses? Woo Hoo!

Nonprofit solution: Open up Proctor's II at RSM. No taxes, no fees! But it will attract the artsey-fartsey crowd for lunch at McDonalds or Friendly's.

THANK GOD FOR THE NEW DEMOCRAPIC TEAM!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Rotterdamians are going to colonie center, saratoga and clifton park for their shopping pleasure....OR......mohawk commons. Rotterdam is full of nothing but dollar stores, second hand shops and discount stores. The only 'upscale' store left is macy's. How long will they hang in there? And what caliber of folks will rotterdam attract?

The city folk just love rotterdam!!!!

Rotterdam square will be imploded within 10 years, most likely sooner, will be and transformed into Mohawk Commons east.

reminds me of a song(DVoR) we used to sing at Camp TippyCanoe around the campfire

chorus
Salvation Army, Salvation Army, put a nickel in the drum save another drunkin' bum

classic verse
in our town all the girls wear tin skirts
and all the boys carry can openers

chorus
Salvation Army, Salvation Army, put a nickel in the drum save another drunkin' bum

todays verse
when we go to the mall
all we get to shop at are second handstores

chorus
Salvation Army, Salvation Army, put a nickel in the drum save another drunkin; bum

Metroplex didn't build Rotterdam Square Mall --- nor does Metroplex have anything to do with its operation or the operation of any of the businesses in the mall.
So -- blaming the closing of any business in the mall on Metroplex is both disingenuous and asinine.

Having said that Rotterdam Square Mall is badly in need of a revamping and dare I say new management -- it has been poorly run for years.  And THAT is NOT the fault of Metroplex nor the Democratic party -- but the owners of the mall.

With the new unified development team under bozos Death Ray and Mercury Morris another business has fled the County throwing 12 people out of work. Thank you Landslide Savage for keeping the highest County taxes in the region! 4X higher than Saratoga County! And you want to spend $40 MILLION more for a new nursing home?

A mall succeeds or fails on its anchor stores. You have to have at least one upscale anchor store to be viable.
Mohawk mall failed because of Bradlees and Wards. Northway mall failed because of Wards and Korvettes.
Penneys came too late to save Latham Circle.
Rotterdam square has K-mart, which has slipped below Walmart and a half assed Sears. That, and being a one floor mall is a recipe for empty spaces and eventually an empty mall.

And it is up to the owners and managers of the mall -- to attract the right anchors and mix of stores and restaurants.
