And John Kerry voted for the Iraq war before he voted against it.

Well yeah, she did.  You are saying she voted YES as a board member creating a taxing district, then I assume she went to Town Hall on December 14th and cast a NO vote abolishing the district she voted YES to create.

I said no such thing...what I said was that she supported putting the issue to a vote...she never said she supported the tax itself.
I'm surprised at you Cicero...you usually have better reading comprehension...and you never seemed to go so far out of your way
to twist things around.

Lets try to follow me on this one.  A taxing district had to be created before it could be put up for referendum.  Were there FIVE yes votes to create the district?  YES!  The vote is scheduled for December 14th 2010 at TH.  Can you tell me, or at least speculate what our FIVE elected officials voted(yes or no) on December 14th?  It was a 2 to 1 shellacking, are you telling me that ND and the rest were so out of touch with the residents, they didn't know that this taxing district was so wildly unpopular?  Gadfly, stop play this game and letting ND and the rest to hide behind this referendum.  If they weren't willing to grow a set and stand up and be counted before the vote, then they have to live with their yes vote to spend $30k unnecessarily on a referendum.  The vote to create the district is their record.  The fact that people had to be dragged out of their homes on a cold and icy December day because of these clowns, is burned in the memories of all that stood in line for 45 minutes to an hour to reject the taxing district ND and gang created.

The vote to create the district itself was during the Tommasone administration...Angelo's company was awarded the
contract...remember? The five yes votes were to put the measure up for the vote...which was also started by Tommasone et al
when they were forced to backpeddle on the preferred permissive referendum. I don't know for sure about the other three, but
I know FDG and ND opposed the tax and didn't believe it would pass...but they still felt that taxpayers should decide...and they
did...in a big way, as you said.

I can also tell you that at least half of the cost, probably more, can be attributed to unnecessary expenditures, especially
subcontracting out the mailing of a lousy letter...and that FDG, BG and Laccardi alone made these spending decisions. I can
also tell you that ND was furious to find out they spent $14,000 without the knowledge of the rest of the Board on something
that could have been done in-house.

The vote to create the district does not belong to the current Board...nor does the vote to let the public vote on it...the current Board
held the vote because the previous administration had already promised the public that vote, albeit by force...and this Board only
voted to schedule a date for that vote.

I have to disagree with your recollection.  I was at the meeting where they voted to create the district.  They had TWO votes. First - they had to legally create a taxing district, then a second to propose a referendum for the taxing district.

Angelo's company did the study, Tommasone Administration tries permissive referendum, due to unpopular pubic opinion Tommasone Administration rethinks permissive referendum and punts until after election.  NNTP runs campaign opposing the formation of new taxing district, Democrat/Conservative ticket wins.  At this point the residents voted everybody that supported the taxing district out, yet this newly elected Democrat/Conservative town board had to continue to push the issue that lost the previous administration the election?  The measure should have never been put up to vote, but since our spineless officials didn't want to be politically liable and held hostage by a certain minor party, they passed this referendum in hopes they would have no blood on their hands.

Sorry, all 5 played politics at the cost of the residents.

They had to write the language for the referendum promised by the previous administration but never delivered...and then passed it.

I never said I agreed with honoring that promise...I think everyone here knows that not only did I oppose the tax, but always
believed it was unnecessary given the alternative, especially when considering the risks (i.e. the rigged nature of the vote and
whether enough taxpayers would be fully informed)...which was all a no brainer IMO.

Gadfly ND was screaming from the rooftops about this to anyone that would listen! KR wanted her to put the anti tax sign on her lawn and ND refused. That is the fact! Defend it say she has realized the public didn't want it and she is taking the public's view to heart as an elected official...But don't LIE about what she originally did. I like ND and you are doing her no help here by lying about what she did.

You don't respond to tirades!? That is laughable you are the biggest tirade monger on the planet. Relax take a sedative and all will be well
