in an effort to save cash why can town highway/parks/water
even if just 500 - 1000ft a year

crap,  6 guys did the work on the guilderland side of helderberg ave/church rd last summer  2500ft pluss

i'd throw a non-retirement counted stipend at that work in a heart beat

a finish early and quality bonus on the job  too

install sewer pipe
extend water
install curbing
install sidewalks

why does the town have to go on the outside and pay 2x the price and give 30% profit to some hooked up construction company, save some cash and put a polish on this place

what piece of paper stops this????

screw FDG - get Conard with his one good eye and Union, That highway guy Longo and his right hand Ricky on this board and get this town picked, packed, and hooked up

That is a good idea  -- and it especially makes sense to do the sewers while you are doing all the other work.

I'm not saying CHEAP
i'm saying use all the tools in the shed and do it right!
we have the people who care(they live here too) and the resources

we need some motivation   - do it for less and reward those who do

i would think those who have to fix it would be best to build it

thus who wants to fix this stuff in the middle of winter when it breaks

-fixing broken pipes in temps below zero with flowing ......    not worth the reward-   in fact it sucks at any time.

i'd rather be out winging on rynex corners road in my nice cozy big red truck

(winging) - knocking back snowbanks with the wing of the plow at 2.5 feet above the road surface so that drivers in "cars" can see oncoming traffic

someone tell the county boys it works intown to!

again show me the paper that says we cant!!!!

we are going out to bid for supplies on this subject

so we will have the ability to buy supplies,  we have the heavy equipment to dig the holes and move dirt

if we only had a leader not a king

If we had a real team working on such a project or any project in town there would be public updates by our dept heads, board members and supervisor

all document would be in the open no need for a FOIL officer

but we are all now subjects in DelGalloville and Mr Godlewski(Mr 10%) the tax collector is coming for his schillings

where's the team? what's their logo?

right now 'elder schools' and 'pools' just aren't cutting it to advance this town....I'm tired of the 'go ahead buddy 10-4'...it brought
us to this willy-nilly cheesy crap.....no plans/no patina/no class/no future.......

what do you have to propose?
