Rotterdam Town Supervisor Candidate Brian McGarry Offers Support to Prospective Candidates
Rotterdam, NY – Candidate for Rotterdam Town Supervisor Brian McGarry announced today that his
campaign has mailed letters of support to prospective candidates for elected offices in the City of
Schenectady, the Town of Rotterdam, and Schenectady County who are deemed to espouse and
exemplify fiscally conservative principles. In his letter, McGarry offers the recipients the opportunity to
appear with him on the ‘No New Tax Party’ independent ballot line in the November 2011 elections.
The No New Tax Party ballot line was founded in 2009 by a group of four candidates who shared a position in
opposition to the creation of new tax districts and pledged to resist increases in the oppressive property taxes
that are adversely impacting residents’ family budgets and local businesses’ profitability.
Candidate McGarry, who serves as the “standard bearer” of the No New Tax Party banner entering the
2011 election season, cites that “Elected representatives from both major parties and at all levels of
government are beginning to acknowledge the financial straits that face our communities and our
nation’s people. The No New Tax Party pioneered the movement and the call for “No New Taxes”. In
the 2010 elections, many candidates from local to national races cited wasteful government spending
and rampant personal, business, and property taxes as the issues that must be addressed if the
American economy is to recover and employment opportunities created.”
He proposes to each of the recipients, “If you will govern as a taxpayer advocate and work to reduce spending
and lower property taxes, I would be honored to have you work with me to restore fiscal responsibility to local
government.” Their responses are requested by March 15, 2011, the scheduled date for a McGarry Campaign
Fundraiser at Mallozzi’s Restaurant.
Among those individuals who were sent the offer of support are:
• 2009 Albany Tax Day Tea Party Organizer Wade D. Abbott – undeclared candidate for
Schenectady County Legislature – District 4
• Former Chair of the Schenectady County Legislature and 2003 Candidate for
Schenectady City Mayor Peter J. Guidarelli – undeclared candidate for City or County
office
• Schenectady City Resident Advocate and 2010 Candidate for Schenectady City Council
on the S.T.O.P. (Schenectaday Taxpayers Outrage Party) Patricia E. Zollinger –
undeclared candidate for Schenectady City Council
• Rotterdam Chiropractor Christopher Tomaselli – undeclared candidate for Rotterdam
Town Council
• Incumbant Rotterdam Highway Supervisor James E. Longo –presumed candidate for
reelection
Fiscal conservatives, of any party enrollment, who have interest in discussing with Candidate McGarry
running on the No New Tax Party ballot line are encouraged to contact him by e-Mail at
brian@brianmcgarry.org .

Another one who is threatened by the possibility of the family business being run by someone outside the family ?

Mr McGarry may be out of his mind, but his conscience should allow him to sleep at night.

These grass roots have a stronghold now.   Watch it grow.   The "family" doesn't  have enough defoliating agent to sprinkle around on the large healthy patch.   The irony in this is that the "family"  pompously planted the seed .    The reality of this new greenery will be wanted all over town.   Everyone will want some of that old mulch and manure spread on their yard.

Wake up... it aint that hard. Anyone with a few brain cells and the ability to read and write can  do it.
