Even Planned Parenthood is located on Lark Street in a Yuppie part of Albany near the Park. White people have better access to lots of services as you know. I believe you are pulling your facts out of the air. I have worked in Arbor Hill and the South End--no abortion clinics near me. But on more than one occasion, I helped someone get a crib, diapers, formula, a layette, healthcare and counseling with support to get through a pregnancy.

I disagree with the procedure in certain cultures of women having Clitoridectomy too. The procedure was outlawed in the U.S. in 1996-as it shoud be. There are certain barbaric practices that civilized societies outlaw. Clitoridectomy is one; on demand abortion should be the other. Just because a culture decides a barbaric act like willingly killing a viable fetus is recognized as "legal" doesn't make it any less barbaric.
I find it amazing that progressives think abortion is considered progress. Especially in light of the destructive effect it has on the African American community.

I would say this is a stretch comparison, a big stretch. Slavery and abortion are the same thing ? Pro arguments are the same ? Diversity jurisdiction? Abortion is a politically charged argument but equating it to slavery is harum-scarum.

But it will probably take an amendment to the US Constitution to get it done. Just hope that it doesn't take another Civil War to get the amendment enacted.

Dred Scott v. Sanford and Roe v Wade BOTH legalized grievously immoral behaviors. Hopefully, Roe v. Wade will eventually be struck down as Dred Scott was struck down. But it will probably take an amendment to the US Constitution to get it done. Just hope that it doesn't take another Civil War to get the amendment enacted.

I am optimistic that I will live to see the day that Roe v. Wade is overturned either by a future Supreme Court decision or a future amendment to the US Constitution.
