This bull dropping 'dangerous' analogy is all over the internet and in the minds of many........k?

Source Vital Statistics Center of Disease Control: Stephanie Ventura

"Childbearing among unmarried women has been the subject of intense public policy and public health concern for decades (1,2), much of it reflecting concerns about the impact on family structure and the economic security of children. Nonmarital births are at higher risk of having adverse birth outcomes such as low birthweight, preterm birth, and infant mortality than are children born to married women (2,3). Children born to single mothers typically have more limited social and financial resources (4)."

After looking at the charts and statistics of FACTUAL information it is quite clear that this is more of a problem than abortion will ever approach.

And BTW--using the term "genocide" with reference to abortion is incorrect.  It demeans the Holocaust.  Abortion kills innocents but it is not the same thing as trying to eliminate a whole people because of their faith/race.

...Dr. Alveda King, niece of slain civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., is a pro-life activist. In August 2007 she told a meeting of Priests for Life that abortionists “plant their killing centers in minority neighborhoods and prey upon women who think they have no hope.”

“The great irony,” she said, “is that abortion has done what the Klan only dreamed of.”

Cicero--Not sure where you get your facts.  "Abortion Clinics" like what Ellis Hospital and Albany Medical Center are in minority areas.  What BS.  Even Planned Parenthood is located on Lark Street in a Yuppie part of Albany near the Park.  White people have better access to lots of services as you know.  I believe you are pulling your facts out of the air.  I have worked in Arbor Hill and the South End--no abortion clinics near me.  But on more than one occasion, I helped someone get a crib, diapers, formula, a layette, healthcare and counseling with support to get through a pregnancy.

Booms, we are all aware here how you like to elevate your self worth....we get it......you don't have to keep reminding us.....k?....., but please be informed that there is more to this country than ALBANY and YOU. YOU and ALBANY are not the plumb line for the rest of the country.....k? YOU do not dictate the social or economic or moral behavior for the millions of people in this country....so please stop speaking for them........k?

The FACTS are that blacks were targeted from the beginning......like it or not.....it is a FACT beyond ALBANY!

And please stop beating your 'old own drum'.....it's getting rather old.......k?

I wonder if the Pope has conversations about Cialis or Viagra? I bet he likes it because it promotes procreation....hahahahahahaha...

the creepy MD in Pennsylvania was 'helping' impoverished/uneducated and quite possibly emotionally/mentally disabled women.....

I AM pro-choice but crap like that doesn't need to exist when there are nice MD offices that perform the same without the slogan 'we do abortions'....
the problem is that when it is advertised we have stupid discussions like this....it's been done since the beginning of time....and leaving a BABY out to
die after it is a few days old when the family couldn't feed it happened to......it IS a crazy world....and mean and dangerous to.....but to have a baby
because someone else tells you to is just wrong....

we dont need abortion mills......we need education and responsibility....and the choice will be what the choice will be.....there is enough of us around to
prove that abortion doesn't stop procreation.....if one disagrees with having one, then dont, it's that personal

I disagree with the procedure in certain cultures of women having Clitoridectomy too.  The procedure was outlawed in the U.S. in 1996-as it shoud be.  There are certain barbaric practices that civilized societies outlaw.  Clitoridectomy is one; on demand abortion should be the other.  Just because a culture decides a barbaric act like willingly killing a viable fetus is recognized as "legal" doesn't make it any less barbaric.

I find it amazing that progressives think abortion is considered progress.  Especially in light of the destructive effect it has on the African American community.

no one said it wasn't barbaric....but the social outcome of banning it isn't as rosey as everyone who is pro-life would like the rest to
believe....it IS that personal.....

it's not easy, never has been and never will be.........and neither is war.....

Hypothetical...
All we need is a new medical technology to remedy this entire abortion question.

~ Medical science needs to perfect  a new medical procedure... A Fetus Transplant.
~A list of all Women (and husbands) who are anti choice would be registered at every 'transplant' hospital.

When a Pro Choice women becomes pregnant and wants an abortion she simply phones the hospital and requests a "fetus recipient". (Since the anti-choice recipient is against aborting the fetus, she has NO CHOICE but to accept this fetus... NO CHOICE. Either she accepts the fetus or the fetus will be aborted. NO CHOICE!)
Now those who are anti choice... have "NO CHOICE".  Those who are pro choice, do have a choice.
(I know... kind of strange but it works)

I think it wouldn't be long until all women decide that it would be in their best interest to suddenly become Pro Choice.  Everyone is in agreement, and the controversy ends.

philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Becomes pregnant - what's that, like catching the flu?

What you meant to say is...When a Pro Choice women CHOOSES(except for rape and incest) to get pregnant by having sexual intercourse with a man(since 99% of Americans understand that's how babies are made by the age of 10), and then wants an abortion...blah...blah...blah.

How about the novel idea of taking responsibility for your actions, and teach the hard life lesson that your actions have consequences?

I would say this is a stretch comparison, a big stretch.   Slavery and abortion are the same thing ?   Pro arguments are the same ?   Diversity jurisdiction?   Abortion is a politically charged argument but equating it to slavery is harum-scarum.

Dred Scott v. Sanford  and Roe v Wade BOTH legalized grievously immoral behaviors.   Hopefully, Roe v. Wade
will eventually be struck down as Dred Scott was struck down.   But it will probably take an amendment to the US Constitution to get it done.    Just hope that it doesn't take another Civil War to get the amendment enacted.

It will never be reversed. There is tons of money being made from these dead babies. And it is also beneficial to the population control of targeted 'ethnic groups'.

I am optimistic that I will live to see the day that Roe v. Wade is overturned either by a future Supreme Court decision or a future amendment to the US Constitution.
