It is an interesting list of potential candidates.

Historically -- the early favorite for the New Hampshire primaries has not done as well in the actual primary ..and some folks were way behind a year out and came from behind to win an upset in the Granite State contest.

There are also a few GOP names -- persons who are considering running -- like Congressman Pence -- who could be very serious contenders if they choose to run.

George Amedore & Christian Klueg for NYS Senate 2016
Pete Vroman for State Assembly 2016

I don't think anyone in this country is ready to see a female in the white house yet .....lib or rep.
It'll be a while yet.

It's not a question of weather the country is ready for a female President, it's a question of running the 'right' candidate.  Female leaders like Golda Meir, Margaret Thatcher or Corazon Aquino were the right person for their time.

Today's GOP TeaBagger stars like Bachmann or Palin are lightweights outside of their Right Wing following.  I would guess that a woman will be US president in the next 25 years, and probably much sooner.

I don't know about that. I think Hillary would have done even better than Obama did against McCain.
Her campaigns fatal mistake was not having organization in the earlier , smaller states , and relying on the big states to pull her through.. she didn't see the Obama train building steam until it was too late.

I think they decided to pick Obama, he was the least controversial at the time....African American VS woman(Clinton)

no one was comfortable with a scorned woman in the White House

It used to be fairly easy to register for the Democratic primary in New Hampshire ...  just file a fee ... maybe I should do that for the heck of it.     I know that I could get at least a half-dozen votes there.

I don't know about 2012, but for 2016, The new SC governor Nikki Haley is someone to watch.

For those who consider Michelle Bachmann a candidate for President (or even dog catcher), check out her "creative history":

If she ever had a real job she would be ahead of Obama.

I still say the UNITED STATES is not ready for a woman president. But if I had to choose one it would be Governor Jan Brewer.

I love Mike Pence! Pence/DeMint could be a great 2012 ticket.

The stars and planets must be in another unusual alignment because I am going to agree with Kelly .. again.

I won't say that I love Pence and DeMint but I will agree they would make a good GOP ticket.

My guess is that Huckabee, Romney and Gingrinch will not win the nomination.   Not saying anything bad aboutthem -- other than those gentlemen are "faces from the past".    My hunch is that the GOP will look for new faces to lead the party ticket in 2012.

If any of these three had a chance, I think it would be Romney. But I doubt that too.
