He said it at the public forum held at the Rotterdam branch of the Schenectady County Library.
Unfortunately, I did not bring a recording device to capture the event for posterity.   But he did say it.

As a NNTP candidate, I attended the forum of which you speak.  I don't recall Brian ever suggesting that he would
"tear up the contract" or that he would "do away with the police department".   To make such a statement would
be irresponsible and ill-advised.

Your statement is fallacious.  Several others who participate in this message board attended the meeting at
the library.  They know that you are spreading mistruths.

I invite, no urge you, Ron, to campaign for Town Supervisor in 2011.  The material that you have provided in your
posts will bring to you certain defeat.  And, your statements are all documented and available by searching the archives.

You can't bring a recording device to the LWV debates....

Must be why AS wasn't there.

Certainly, you would deny the statements were made - but I heard them quite clearly.   The fact is that
you and the other NNTP candidates are short on proposals that can actually be implemented.   You folks
bash and tear down --- and recite the mantra of no new taxes --- but you have no clue how to actually
deliver necessary services and pay all the bills.   Lowering taxes isn't as easy as tossing some "fairy dust"
on the problem  --- you actually have to know what you are doing.
Also, you folks decry "working together" -- but  the fact is that intergovernmental cooperation MUST happen
more and more .. in order to reduce costs and lower taxes.
You -- like the Republicans  - are a party of NO  .......   you say NO to sensible cost saving ideas .. and you
have NO clue how to come up with reasonable alternative plans.

It's real easy to lower taxes just start eliminating all the useless feel good programs that aren't necessary and cut back on some of the services that government provides.

I was at the same forum....and your stating the being short on proposals that can actually be implemented has EVERYTHING to do with
why not(The boys club)....as for necessary services separating needs from feel-good boys club wants are apples and oranges...the
future is coming and the need to wash the mold away and start fresh is needed....as for working together----it's more like
a middle school playground when anything fresh shows up.......we are at a point where alternative ISN'T the answer....we just need to
pull up our boot straps and dig in....that includes CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS minus the vote buying and already purchased arbitors....
not to mention the "Do you know who I am, you better do what I say" leadership of the 'Club'

"You can't bring a recording device to the LWV debates...their Nazi tactics prevent such heinous acts as photos, audio and video records."

For the record, the Nazis went through painstaking lengths to record their misdeeds. Records from some of their most heinous experiments were later used to advance science in a number of different fields. Aeronautics, for instance.

Are many people aware that McGarry said last year -- that on day 1 he would either tear up the contract
with the police union or do away with the police department ???????????????

There truly is no cure for stupidity.
And there is no defense for a LIE!

For the record......that sentiment came straight from the concerned rotterdam residents....not mcgarry!!!

Not to get back on topic but the DEM "working together team" promised to lower town taxes. How did that work out? Record increases on business and residences. They are too busy giving political plums to out of County lobs to fulfill promises.

FDG is finished. Everyone is scrambling to replace him. Many more names are in the mix. While other "leaders" supported the REMS tax or were firmly on both sides of it-Brian McGarry was clear in leading the opposition to a landslide victory.

Riiiiight. THEY recorded them exactly as they wanted them to be seen, or for their own use. Leni Riefenstahl, among others noted Nazi film makers were tasked with recording the "achievements" of the Thousand Year Reich. Independent film makers and camera-men was not a career choice in Nazi-Germany. There was no freedom of the press, and people weren't allowed to stroll up to the gates of Treblinka or Sobibor and start filming. Nor were people allowed to record the proceedings of the Reichstag "just like that."

I attended the LWV debate where they actually physically removed the cell phones and cameras in use during a debate in order to keep it under wraps. Definitely at the behest of the Democrat county chairman who was giving the orders and sent his town chairman to give detailed instructions of, to the LWV. I saw the collaboration of the Democrat party with the LWV in order to slant the entire event to their side, even though none of them attended with the exception of the town democrap chair and his henchmen. Of course it was "spun" by people like you that it was the "evilllllll right wing" who were trying the screw over the poor democraps! Liars and fakes, it is no wonder you can even look at yourself in the mirror.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

The only one that can look at herself in the mirror is the lovely Holly V. If any of the pathetic DEM working together scoundrels looked into a mirror it would break.

I don't care if they are right wing, left wing or have no wings at all.
I lost all respect for the LWV! I would never attend any debate or anything else sponsored by them.
And may I add.......what the hell is their purpose? Are they really even necessary? I don't think so. IMHO
