I was speaking of Schenectady in terms of the WHOLE county.   If you can't comprehend that, that is your
problem - not mine.

As for the president, he visited an overseas American military cemetery (and all overseas American military
cemeteries are considered "US soil" as are our embassies and consulates.   Again, if you can't comprehend
that basic concept - that is YOUR problem - not mine.

Sorry, your typing had extra lettes and I thought you were trying to say something else.

As for your "claim" about the Korea cemetary, please show me where there is anything that supports that.  I cannot find "ANYTHING" that says he visited a military cemetary in Korea, let alone that there is a military cemetary in Korea.  As I showed you in the other post (http://www.rotterdamny.net/m-1294608324/s-15/), he placed a wreath at the war memorial on the base.

And just so you know that I am providing facts, visit this page:
http://www.abmc.gov/faq.php
and you will find the following statement:
Are there any permanent overseas American military cemeteries from the Korean or Vietnam Wars?
No, all recoverable remains from the Korean and Vietnam Wars were returned to the U.S. for interment at national or private cemeteries.

JUST BECAUSE SISSY SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO...BUT HE THINKS IT DOES!!!!!
JUST BECAUSE MC1 SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO!!!!!

An American military base overseas - is also considered American soil.   The FACT is that President
Obama did attend Veterans' Day ceremonies on Veterans' Day.
You must be so blinded by hatred of Mr. Obama that you can not comprehend the FACT that many American presidents have celebrated Veterans' Day and Memorial Day overseas at least  once during their presidencies.

Be very careful with your accusations because you obviously cannot read or comprehend what is being written or your own statements.  YOU stated he was at a cemetery and I replied that I believed you to be wrong and provided documented information and a pic showing you what he was doing...at a base laying a wreath, and there is no US Military cemetery there.  Show me where I am bashing our President or complaining that he or any other President is not on US soil to recognize Veterans.  My writings were directed at you and your mistaken facts.....CAN YOU COMPREHEND THAT?

You tried to defend your statement about the cemetery with BS, and I referred you to facts THAT YOU WERE WRONG. Now you want to twist it again....if you cannot deal with issues head on then that is your problem.  Do not make statements that are fabricated and think we will just accept them.  I was in the Military and defending this country when you were wetting your diapers.  I know what military bases and US soil are.  You are the clueless one and obviously the one with the problem.

My statement was not fabricated, President Obama did attend Veterans' Day services while in SOUTH Korea.
He was NOT awol as some on this website have contended.   And he is among a number of American
presidents who have been overseas on either Memorial Day or Veterans' Day at least once during their
presidency -- THAT is not a fabrication.

While there may not be an American military cemetery in South Korea -- there is a UN cemetery at Busan
where 36 Americans are buried     ( http://www.unmck.or.kr )

I stand by my statements that President Obama was NOT awol on Veterans' Day and did participate
in Veterans' Day services while in South Korea.    In previous posts on another thread that dealt with the
subject, I did indicate that Obama was at services at a military base.

You getting all nasty and offensive because I made a simple mistake and typed cemetery rather than military base -- suggests you have a problem.

You obviously never evolved from the "brutish monkey state".   Your personal attacks have nothing to
do with the thread.  Stick to the actual topic.

Back to the topic  -- When the White House reschedules the president's trip, I hope that the Recovery
Room is open by then.    I would invite Mr. Obama to lunch there.

Personally instead of inviting the Pres for a burger, if I could I would attempt to invite him to meet with State, County and local leaders and have a town hall style meeting that the average individual can attaend and really ask questions.  I would want to discuss the decline of our once very lucrative area and how the Federal Government can help to revitalize the State, County and Towns; present what is wrong with Federal intervention today and the decline in our State economy that it has caused; and suggest the formation of a task force to address all of this, provided they can actually have the power to make a difference. But then again, I'd like to win a million dollars, and that ain't gonna happen either!

I would invite the President Obama for chicken wings not burgers.   But the Recovery Room has both and I
will let him order whatever he wants.

If and when the President visits Schenectady, I would hope that he knows that eventhough our County has an 7- 7.9% unemployment rate, it still is one of the highest taxed Counties in the State. I would also hope that the President meets with Stratton to ask him why the Mayor has placed the tax burden upon the already cash-strapped homeowners.

Then while sitting in the Recovery Room, maybe DV and Mr. Gillen can explain why gin mills and other restaurants receive HUGE tax breaks and County Plex funds, meanwhile Metroplex has never brought any nanotech industries to our area. Maybe the President will remind them that minimum wage dishwashers aren't the future of America.

Personally, I would rather enjoy the meal and discuss the great things that Metroplex has done and, of course,
I would lobby for some federal monies for a new community center and a new park in Rotterdam.

How about this - instead of getting federal taxpayer money, how about you turn to Mr. Gillen and ask him to return some of the $10 million back to the taxpayers.
