President Obama's mouthpiece Press Secretary Robert Gibbs has announced his resignation effective next month. A horrible double talker who never seemed prepared for any press questions.

He was famous for saying, "I'll get back to you with that information" which of course never happened. Obama will be hard pressed to find a worse spokesman. This will be the first of another wave of resignations from this unpopular administration.

I am going to apply for that job.   Having been perceived as the "spokesperson" for almost every Democrat
in the area ... I should have a good shot at the job.

My role model for dealing with the press will be former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.   I like how
he used to come right out and tell reporters  "Now that is a dumb question. "

I was tempted to say you couldn't do any worse-then I re-read your posts on McClellan St. Sometimes the only response is no comment.

Actually, that is the REAL reason that Obama is coming to Schenectady next week -- to announce that I
will be his new Press Secretary.

The first thing I would do as Press Secretary is install a button on the podium -- push the button and the
members of the press would fall into the old White House pool beneath the floor.

Just shows what you think of the freedom of the press, unless they agree with what you think, they need to be taken out.  Sounds a little leftist to me.

You really need to get a sense of humor.    Every president since Nixon has used that line --- Nixon being
the president who had a floor built over the pool so he could turn the space into the Press Room.

Interesting historical fact --- the space originally was built in the 19th century as the laundry -- the Rose
Garden was actually  the "drying yard" ....     FDR had a pool built in the early 1930's in the space .. and
it was used as such until Nixon reworked it for the Press Room.

I do have a sense of humor, except when it comes to the people's rights being taken away, even if it IS the leftist media that would be losing their rights.  It's the first time I've heard the joke.  I'll try to remember to laugh next time, but it's actually sad how many rights have disappeared as of late.

The Constitution guarantees Freedom of the Press ... it does not say they can't be forced to take a swim
in the White House pool.

Good. I hope that President Huckabee returns it to a pool. The press around here has been all wet for years.

The more interesting departure from the White House is David Axlerod -- he was the one who
engineered Obama's meteoric rise from the State Senate to US Senate to the Presidency.
I also believe he is the one - along with Rahm Emmanuel - who really screwed up the first 2 years of
the administration.      So his departure can be viewed as either good news or bad news for Obama.
