Another nail in the coffin for Hannaford Plaza. Pretty soon, we can play indoor golf there.

My understanding is that some of the AJ Wright stores will be reopened as either TJ Maxx or Home Goods
stores --- so it is possible that the Hannaford Plaza store may be one of those.

Hannaford Plaza has very few vacant stores now .. so I don't think the situation is as dire as
some would like to have us believe.

If you read the story, you would read that the Troy store will be changed to another store.  Not the others.

What has Hannaford plaza got?   A dollar store.  A rental store.  I can't even remember if that Game Stop is still open.  The second hand store, the Chinamart.  Scarboroughs will be leaving soon.  Pioneer will be leaving soon.   Word is that the Hannaford there is one of the worst performing stores, they've even cut back there---their courtesy desk used to be open til 10, now it closes at 8, rarely can you find people working in their special departments after 7 (except for the deli).   And the kids zipping around in the handicapped carts, and the guys walking around with their pants down.  Nothing ever moved into that former pool hall.  Did anything ever move into that Label Shopper?   But it's not dire, huh?

Hannaford Plaza is still well over 80% occupied ... so it is NOT in a dire situation.

Hannaford's is a great store ... me and my family do all our grocery shopping there and at Gabriel's.

BJ's and San's Club about once every 6 months and usually for bulk items for church events .. although
Sahr's is a good source for bulk items too.
