I noticed how a mouthpiece from the county ruling junta always has to run down and/or pile on any business that fails by saying things like "Friendly's is no good-Denny's is better" ...a kind of "good riddance, we didn't want you anyway!" smack...
Always the snarky swipe, taken at a business that paid taxes and employed people for decades, sadly gone under. Yet the ruling junta feels it needs to stoop by having an assigned vicious dog take a slap. THAT is the sort of thing that goes beyond doing a job, it points to the mean and nasty soul of the ruling junta. Whether it be Fireside or Friendly's or any other LONG STANDING business that did not make it because of economic conditions and the fact that they are not SUBSIDIZED or APPROVED or INSTALLED by the junta, the nasty kick in the nuts is uncalled for.

I didn't say anything bad about Friendly's -- just stated my opinion/preference --- and by the way Friendly's is NOT a locally owned business .. it is part of a regional chain.
It has been fairly well know that Friendly's has been in financial difficulty for over a decade -- and therefore I am not surprised about the closings.
