The nearest Waffle Houses that I am aware of are in Clark's Summit, PA and Allentown, PA (both towns have one -- and are probably about the same distance away. My experience with Waffle House restaurants is that the quality of the food and the service is quite dependent on its location. The ones in PA and MD .. SC and GA that I have visited are all very good. The 2 Waffle Houses in the Houston/Galveston area and 1 in Tennessee that I stopped at recently were (to put it politely) substandard in both food and service. |

 The man knows his waffles. Better than his clerk candidates. Clark Summit {right by I-80} is the closest to Rotterdam. Waffle House is like McDonalds uniform standards although the wait staff may vary. Waffle House would be a huge improvement over that horrible pizzeria on Altamont Avenue. A Sonic Drive In would also do well on Altamont Avenue. |

We went to Homestyle on Union Street last weekend. I was surprised how much their prices have gone up.. eesh. But they still have dang good sicilian style pizza, and their pasta and bread-knots are outstanding. The staff leaves a little to be desired though. |

Holy crap!!!!! I'll stick to my $2.00 bag of Pepe's pizza dough........costs me less than $4.00 for an 8 cut........ever since my sister gave me a stone to cook it on haven't bought one.  |
