Ok, let's move on. As a spin-off result of the investigation, the town clerk freaks out and goes on paid leave, meaning the town needs to hire a part-time worker to assist the deputy who now serves as the full-time clerk.

This outcome solely lays at the feet of rotterdam's town clerk! Had the town clerk NOT sign for a dead person, rotterdam taxpayers would not be in this situation.

Nice try Hack......I'll give ya that one!

OK...sometimes you guys REALLY confuse me. I want to make a couple of quick statements before I get into this. First, you all want lower taxes regardless of political bent. And second, you all think Schenectady County(and New York State by extension) has high taxes. Can we all agree on those facts?

Now, someone is proposing that there be an INVESTIGATION into the events that lead up to an investigation into notary fraud?!?

Just to backup a bit here and inject a bit of speculation...I SUSPECT the amount of money 'defrauded' Rotterdam by the notarized dead person didn't amount to much. Maybe it resulted in the offending resident saving a couple hundred dollars in taxes...NOW...let's do a tally on how much this affair costs taxpayers...the notary investigation involved the state department marching into Rotterdam and conducting interviews. It also involved an investigator pulling files from the town and then reviewing them. Then it took a hearing officer to review the case and make a determination. It also required the town to hire an or use its own attorney to represent EE.

Now do we have a calculator handy for all that? And are your fingers getting sore yet?

Ok, let's move on. As a spin-off result of the investigation, the town clerk freaks out and goes on paid leave, meaning the town needs to hire a part-time worker to assist the deputy who now serves as the full-time clerk.

Now 'the other side' wants a POLICE INVESTIGATION? Ok, fine. Let's add in some police overtime from the Rotterdam PD(who don't come cheap BTW) to poke around town hall. If there's a conflict, then the SP investigates and it costs even more...and then throw in the ADA from the county who needs to review the investigation and determine charges. If he or she does, then the case goes before the town justice. If they are felony charges, they get forwarded to the county for a GRAND JURY, so no the county is paying for a prosecutor and up to 16 grand jurors for the day. Then if there's an indictment, the town is on the hook for ANOTHER attorney because Surprise and Parisi were both town officials at the time of the alleged fraud...and you know they're both going to fight fraud allegations if they made it that far...

Still got that calculator? Well, I'll bet you folks every piece of dyed hair in EE's head that whatever amount it's showing after that tally is many times what the original homeowner benefited from getting a dead person notarized.

AND YOU WONDER WHY YOUR TAXES ARE HIGH?!? Get real.

The FACT is that  the people who were involved in the conspiracy against Mrs. Esposito are the lowest forms
of life in the universe  .. with no redeeming virtues.      It would be worth every penny of taxpayer dollars
spent investigating this matter .. to see each and every one of them indicted, convicted, and punished
for what they have done.      I'll even donate the first $100 towards the investigation --- I am sure there
are many more who would gladly donate as well.
The repugnant pieces of canine excrement that harassed and abused Mrs. Esposito  deserve to spend
some time behind bars.

These things happen every day in rotterdam! From supervisors that touch young girls, to missing pearl gun handles, to cops that retire at twice their salary (pension padding), to supervisors that can't read or write, to an illegal rems tax vote............and a town clerk that commits fraud by notarizing for a dead person.

Bring in the FBI and HOMELAND SECURITY damn it!!

Yes, and don't forget the handicapped hang tags that probably everyone over 64 has in Rotterdam, most without accompanying Dr.'s orders . . . .

bumble, the point is that this issue is dead. EE broke the law, she was punished and it's over. To now say 'let's investigate who started the investigation' is a waste of time and money. And given the propensity for folks here to call for investigations, these are two things they must really like wasting.

The point is that those who many allege to have conspired to bring Eunice down could be charged with
felonies -- Eunice's mistake was a misdemeanor.  Felony convictions  can do horrible things to people
with are licensed to practice law or serve as assessors.

My point Hack, is........
first, rotterdam is run by politics! Rotterdamians are actually defined by their party favor. There are some that get the wink and nod and ok to do as they please. Rotterdam has 'always' been that way.

second, the FBI has been threatened for years for one issue or another. NOTHING EVER came to fruition and won't now! It's just the usual political bullcrap that rotterdam is so famous for. Hey.....rotterdam isn't the laughing stock for nothing! They earned that title!!

Who were the people who did this exactly?

It sounds like perpetuated their own "sting" on Mrs. Esposito ala' the FBI. Can private citizens set up stings like that? It seems like you know all the details. Did you bring this dosier over to the O'Brien building to see if they would look into it? You need a sit-down with the FBI, DV. Here is the national FBI hotline: 202-324-3000

also try them on the web at

http://www.fbi.gov.

I am sure they would be interested in this pertinent matter.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Patience DVR, patience.  I am hearing that the facts of this notary caper are still unfolding.  Layoffs mean unemployment.  Resignations and outright firings equal no unemployment bennies to the employee or employer.  The "rats" are scurrying and the walls have "ears."  So I have "heard."

I am being patient -- just telling the folks who want to sweep things under the rug that the "rats" will be
brought to justice.
