Amen. Just like the Killean / Judge Severson thread.  Fine, the man died - but nooooo, he had to start something political about it.

Actually the thread was about the Surrogate's Race in general --- you folks brought specific names into the
thread.  I have not made any comments for or against Mr. Killeen.   I have not brought politics into it -- you
folks did.

The best part of my morning at McDonald's was enjoying breakfast with the next State Senator from the
44th District of New York.   She will bring real change to Albany.

There was no political undertones or overtones .. it was community celebration to which everyone was invited.

As far as what I post .. it is my right to post my thoughts.  If you don't like them .. that really is YOUR problem
to deal with .. not mine.

AND IT IS MY RIGHT TO POST MY THOUGHTS AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE THEM IT IS YOUR PROBLEM....but pay attention.....apparently I'm not alone in those thoughts!!!  Get a grip and try to grab a clue!  My problem is that I come to this board to read about things happening in my previous hometown, that I visit frequently since all my family lives there.  Everytime I read a thread, YOU interject with your political BS, and that turns the thread into a political battle instead of what it was intended for.  I undertand that you ran for some office and lost....I'm sorry....maybe you would be a good choice for the office you ran for.  But you are not doing yourself a favor with the way you handle everything on this board.  You might be the best political choice for sokme office, but based on what you have posted and how you handle yourself, I would never vote for you.  Please, can you please just let us have threads that are about the topic started!  If you want to start a thread about political stuff, then do it.  I'd love to join in on that conversation.  And by the way.....I AM NOT A REPUBLICAN, so don't think that is my motive!

Actually I started the thread  -- just that McDonald's had celebrated the ribbon cutting on its renovations and that the the food, service, and atmosphere was great

and if you cared to take the time to read -- I have started a number of non-political threads  -- and it is
the others that have politicized things  with their responses

Savage actually thinks she is getting votes at the McDonald's grand opening ribbon cutting. That is the best piece of political intelligence I heard all day. Put a McFork on her. She's DONE!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Great service and great food. Your tastes in food is akin to your tastes in Senate candidates.

Thanks .. I do have great taste in food  ...   my favorite in-town restaurants are   Mallozzi's, Topps,
McClane's, Anthony's in Rotterdam Jct and Bellevue Cafe.

My favorite restaurants just a short drive away are Gibby's, Farmer Boy, Turf Tavernand Combo's
(technically not a restaurant but they do have the best fish fry around).

A little further afield ---   if you are headed up to Lake George -- The Montcalm.

If you are headed to Watervliet --- Valente's.

If you are headed to the Berkshires  ---  The Pillars (New Lebanon, NY),   The Red Lion (Stockbridge NY),
The Williams Inn and the Water Street Grill in Williamstown, MA)

There are a number of places in Charleston SC, Beaufort County SC, and Savannah, GA that I could
recommend.    Similarly in New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.

But my 2 ALL time favorite restaurants are the Hotel Thayer in West Point and the Beekman Arms in
Rhinebeck  (The Beekman was FDR's favorite restaurant and until a few years ago you could often run
into FDR's grandson who ate their whenever he visited Hyde Park.)

McDonald's is best for a quick breakfast  -- when one doesn't have time to eat at home

Quite honestly, I would never go to a sit down restaurant for breakfast ... I prefer to eat my Irish Oatmeal or
Weetabix at home.

In our house, eggs are a rare supper dish --- my specialties are Omelots or my own version of Huevos
Rancheros.    The Huevos Rancheros are best in the summertime  .. when I can cook with my iron
skillet on the grill.

The wife makes poached eggs on toast with a side of fruit!

But we do go out for breakfast now and then and that's where the bacon and home fries come out!!!
