It wasn't directed at you, Bgage! I didn't think it bothered you. I know it bothered Blowaggio, because he is a liber-democrap censor. So Blowaggio, go shove it up you as$. Are you part of "Revitalize Rotterdam" or something? Oh that's right, you just have our head so far up Mallozzis' asses that when they stop fast your big snozz pops out their bellybutton. Suckhole for free fireworks and cookies.

I don't have any "handlers"  -- I "handle" other candidates.

However, I would agree to be "handled" if you are a nice Catholic woman -- 30-40 years old --
and you love country music ... red heads have always been a preference but not required.

DVR - so why did you change your signature thing, by removing the only republican??  i notice that you also dont support murphy by not including him.

1st - if I put everyperson in my signature that I am endorsing -- my signature would be way too long -- if
you notice I dropped some other names so that I could make the ones that are left BIGGER

2nd - I don't need anyone's permission to endorse whom I like -- he got my endorsement because I knew him when he was in college and I think he will make a good congressman.   I don't know
Mr. Murphy personally -- but I do know his wife and his wife's family.  I wish both men well.

3rd - don't be surprised if I change up my signature .. in a few days .. I like to keep it new and fresh.

...you should try to do the same with your wardrobe and cokebottle glasses. At least get into the 1990s.

I'm hearing in a few days you'll need to remove Savages name as she'll be dropping out just prior to the election

Bottomline -- I want my town to prosper ... small business is the vehicle to grow the town's economy.
Let's try to have a constructive discussion and work together towards that goal.

It doesn't matter how much business you bring in if you continue to overtax.  Long Pond Village brings in around $200,000 dollars in taxes.  The "new" 2011 budget proposes $2,000,000 million dollars in increases.  You would need at least 10 Long Pond Villages just to break even.  Rotterdam does not have the growth potential to support this.  If you want people to prosper, put money back in their pockets.  It is unconscienable to raise taxes in this economic environment.  Even Cuomo stated there are way to many levels of government, and that's one of your boys!  Get every last penny of fat out of the budget, and lower the taxes, and if you get some development then you can adjust the budget for the added revenue.

Where do you even get this crap about "coke bottle glasses" -- I only need them for driving.

And if you don't like my choice of wardrobe or glasses .. quite frankly .. you can can go play in traffic on the
Thruway

Hey DVR

have your council advise businesses how to operate under these conditions....

http://www.bizjournals.com/albany/news/2010/10/26/report-ny-has-worst-business-tax.html

New York is the bottom of this list, with the "least hospitable business tax climate," according to a new study ranking states' tax climates for Fiscal Year 2011.

The Tax Foundation gave New York an overall rank of 50 for its tax fundamentals, a one-slot drop from 2010's ranking of 49.

The State Business Tax Climate Index indicates that South Dakota has the best tax policies, followed by Alaska and Wyoming.

According to the report, the worst state tax codes tend to have:

• complex, multi-rate corporate and individual income taxes with above-average tax rates;

• above-average sales tax rates that don't exempt business-to-business purchases;

• complex, high-rate unemployment tax systems; and

• high property tax collections as a percentage of personal income.

Joining New York at the bottom of the list were California at 49, and New Jersey at 48.

See the Tax Foundation's entire report here.

All the more reason that folks in small business and those who are interested in going into small business
need to work together.

It's pretty clear how businesses succeed in the over-taxed NYS business climate.  In Schenectady County, you grease the political party in power, then threaten to leave the County and take the million dollar 0% interest loans and tax exemptions on your property and leave it up to the little people to pay for the infrastructure and services, as you pocket all the profits.  As mikechristine artfully pointed out on the "why are taxes so high" thread.

There is no room left in rotterdam for ANY new businesses in rotterdam. Rotterdam has had such bad development, that ANY proposed business will more than likely be up for scrutiny and law suits. There are residential and businesses checker boarded all over rotterdam.

Every single road, from rt7, to curry rd, to altamont ave., to hamburg st., in rotterdam has residential homes with businesses squeezed in between. The large empty parcels such as the old grand union on hamburg st to the empty plaza on curry road, are both placed on not only a two lane highway, but also coupled with residential homes/apts..

With all of this aside.......there is absolutely NO NEED for a business advisory council in rotterdam. There is already the RIDA and the metroplex. Combine that with the hamburg street merchants to the rotary club to the schenectady county chamber. And the rotterdam website already has links to both the Rotterdam IDA and the Metroplex!!

Rotterdamians don't really buy the spin........they just know it is clearly NOT needed!!! Tommasone's administration will go down in history as being the 'let's have a study' administration. Rotterdam's present board will not only go down in history as being the most incompetent, but the 'let's create another committee' administration! IMHO of course

Since the Business Advisory Council would NOT be a government agency ... then you must agree
it is a good idea.

I guess the supervisor will allow YOU to appoint the "leaders." So then you can call it non-political. Sure. Whatever you say, Goebbels.
