Farley’s Taxpayer-Funded Vacations Cost Taxpayers Double Previous Estimate
Las Vegas, Miami and Multiple Hawaiian Excursions Top List of Getaways
Rotterdam – Albany incumbent Hugh Farley has traveled the world… costing taxpayers at least twice as much as previously thought! Farley’s carefree spending of taxpayer funds was originally thought to be approximately $40,000 for his travels to vacation destinations such as Hawaii, Miami and Las Vegas – but an Albany Times Union recently found indicates Farley’s spending is more than double earlier estimates, topping at least $80,000.

“If Senator Farley wants to visit Hawaii, Las Vegas and Miami he should pay for it himself and stop treating taxpayers as a blank check. Local residents did not elect him to visit Disney World on their behalf” said Susan Savage, candidate for the 44th Senate District and Chairwoman of the Schenectady County Legislature. “People are struggling and cannot afford these type of vacations themselves. Not only did Senator Farley charge taxpayers for his travels, but he voted against opening state parks this year which would have taken away the only vacation many families could afford.”

Susan added, “Senator Farley uses the excuse ‘it’s allowed’, but that doesn’t make it right. In the Senate, under no circumstance will I participate on taxpayer-funded junkets. Senator Farley had the opportunity to provide full documentation of these trips, including itineraries, meetings attended, and legislative action which resulted from each but has refused to disclose this information. If Hugh Farley is not able to produce all of this documentation, he should reimburse the taxpayers – with interest.”

Previous estimates were based on documents from 1996 to 2010 – the additional spending charges were brought to light by then-Supervisor Roy McDonald for Farley vacations taken between 1982 and 1992.

Does Stratton's travel fund count toward a holy indulgence? How about Savage hiring a PR man costing us more than that PER YEAR!!!!   ?????????   That is a GOOD THING?

If you only knew half of what I know about how Savage spends the people's $ for her political advancement!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Farley acknowledged that he took taxpayer funded trips to such places as Hawaii and Walt Disney World ..
at a cost to the taxpayers of about $80,000.    In a time when the state was threatening to close state parks and campgrounds for lack of funds, these kind of taxpayer funded trips by any governmental employee
is just outrageous.

Farley would NOT promise to stop taking such taxpayer funded trips if reelected.   Ms. Savage promised
that she would NOT take such taxpayer funded trips if elected.

The choice is clear -- if you want to CUT state spending -- elect Susan Savage to the State Senate.

Trust me, I know first hand about Savage's "promises" - They aren't worth the oxygen they're farted out with.

The Regressives and Nattering Nayboobs of Negativity would have a stroke if a Democrat spent $80,000
of taxpayer dollars to travel to Hawaii and Disney World ..... yet they are either quiet or defending
Farley for his ABUSE of taxpayer funds.
The picture is crystal clear --- the Regressives are NOT concerned about wasteful spending in government ..
they just lie and say that they are so they can trick the voters into electing them .. so they can keep
spending our tax-dollars frivolously.

New documents uncovered by Judicial Watch show Pelosi took 85 trips on military aircraft
By: Mark Tapscott

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and members of her family and staff took 85 tax-paid trips on military aircraft between March 2, 2009, and June 7, 2010, according to new documents uncovered by Judicial Watch.

Pelosi's daughter, son-in-law and two grandsons were on the June 20, 2009, flight from Andrews AFB to San Francisco where Pelosi resides, according to the documents. On July 2, 2010, Pelosi took a grandson on a flight from Andrews to Travis AFB, north of San Francisco.

Judicial Watch obtained the documents as a result of a January 25, 2009, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.

Previous documents received by the non-profit watchdog group revealed that Pelosi's travel "cost the United States Air Force $2,100,744.59 over a two-year period — $101,429.14 of which was for in-flight expenses, including food and alcohol," according to Judicial Watch.

"For example, purchases for one Pelosi-led congressional delegation traveling from Washington, DC, through Tel Aviv, Israel to Baghdad, Iraq May 15-20, 2008 included: Johnny Walker Red scotch, Grey Goose vodka, E&J brandy, Bailey’s Irish Crème, Maker’s Mark whiskey, Courvoisier cognac, Bacardi Light rum, Jim Beam whiskey, Beefeater gin, Dewar’s scotch, Bombay Sapphire gin, Jack Daniels whiskey, Corona beer and several bottles of wine."

Pelosi’s abusive use of military aircraft demonstrates a shocking lack of regard for the American taxpayer and the men and women who serve in the U.S. Air Force. Speaker Pelosi may have a frequent flyer record for taxpayer-financed luxury jet travel,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.
