There is only 1 Deputy Town Clerk not 3.   Michelle Golden is worth every penny that she is paid by the
town.

I would fight cutting anything from the Parks and Recreation budget or from the Senior prigrams budget.

Of course you would Ron.

There are still 20+ other options on there that deserve to be scrutinized.

When you refuse to look for cuts-you can't find any. Parks and recreation should be the first priority for deep cuts. More kids should take advantage of Lumpy Kosiur's summer camp.

we cant afford our 'fluff and stuff' for the seniors and kids right now.......that's just how it is.....and FDG blaming the previous admin for NOT raising taxes?.....he was the biggest gumba bitchin,,,,hence
his run and dumb election.......

did his clean his glasses?.....an increase in the Highway dept must be for dellavillas race track to upgrade it.....I wonder if there will be bleachers too??? since everyone has one according to FDG.....

time to sell and get out before it starts smelling like moldy cheese in this town......

Why isn't Bob G complaining about the increase in taxes and defending the taxpaying residents like he did when the Reps controlled the Town Board.

My brother in law was just at Stewarts in rotterdam and overheard some folks saying that some people just had their property tax DOUBLED!! Anybody hear about this?

Funny, how this was the administration that campaigned on and promised 'lower taxes' and blamed Mr. Surprise for everything. Here Rotterdam is, almost one year later and the rotterdamians are looking at a double digit tax increase!!!

If rotterdam officials are going to continue to negotiate and pass these lucrative union contracts, and paying $120K a year for a defunct ambulance service, then they should be looking to cut out the fluff!! Start cutting from parks and recreation, senior center employees, parades, cell phones, secretary stipends would be a nice start!

Instead they raise taxes!!!   Ya just can't have it both ways!

The Town Board is following the same pattern that the city/county follows, keep raising taxes to fund all their feel good projects and the hell with the taxpayer who has to fund them. There will be consequences for these actions just ask the politicians in Congress, both Reps and Dems, who have already been voted out for their actions.

!

an 11% increase would not DOUBLE anyones property tax ----that is a mathematical impossibility

second -- the town tax bill has not been sent out --- heck .. the budget hasn't even been approved
yet  --- so NO ONE has any idea what their actual tax bill is yet in Rotterdam

It's a real kick in the beechnuts.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Bob G should stop hiding under his desk and let his cuts be known. All the bloggers have to weigh in but our elected "leaders" are strangely silent. If this is the best of what you can come with-resign in disgrace.

the dog park won't be built unless we get money donated up front  -- and through a dog park permit fee
we could cover any operational costs
