Many people have issues in their personal lives, but you don't make your personal issue the most important public policy issue. Let me give you an example of a broad platform and narrow more pointed platform.
"Hi, I'm a politician and if you give me your vote I'll fight for better health care for your children." Very vague, no detail, political BS.
Now the more detailed answer.
"Hi, I'm a politician and if you give me your vote I'll fight to mandate insurance companies cover children on the whole range of the Autism spectrum which will surely increase your health insurance premiums."

Since SS Savage was elected over 10,000 jobs have fled this County. Someone from the press should strap them on and demand from SS Savage and her running mate ANG to list these alleged jobs that THEY created. They have created nothing but 2 hot dog jobs outside DSS. Their absurd taxes and fees have driven thousands of jobs from this County.
