Spinning a miracle?

I think Sue Savage's TV advertisement plugging her state Senate run ranks with the worst campaign rhetoric ever. And a dozen or so people of various political faiths told me they thought the "ad'' was way over the top.

At issue was reference to Schenectady being labled a "little miracle taking place.'' This was followed by, "Where not long ago, despair hung around every corner until Susan Savage began doing the impossible .... suddenly, an entire city was being reborn. It's economy revitalized and its sense of hope renewed.''

Savage, Schenectady County Legislature chairwoman, the far-out "ad'' producers and some fellow Democrat Party leaders are delusional and suffering from hallucinations if they believe this spin.

The folks I spoke with both moaned and laughed over the claims of an entire city being reborn. There has been improvement on the Proctors' block, but most city neighborhoods have undergone severe deterioration and are anything but reborn.
They all pretty much agreed there is still plenty of despair hanging around street corners and no sign of a revitalized economy. They were most upset over using miracle and Schenectady in the same sentence.

If there is really a Schenectady miracle, it's the fact there are any residents still able to retain their homes despite paying among the highest property tax rates in the nation.

This is probably the only truthful article that has come out of the media regarding Susan Savage! Good job Marv and thank you for speaking on behalf of the residents of schenectady county!!!!

To find the truth all you have to do is talk to the people who have to live under the conditions in the city and don't believe the political spin of those in power.

It's obvious the DG would never print a piece like that.

     As I predicted weeks ago SS Savage will not win ANYWHERE-including Schenectady. Nobody wants a another Democratic in Albany that will vote with NYC liberals to increase our property taxes. The REPS will take back the State Senator. The unemployment rate in Schenectady is up 60% under SS Savage's "leadership".

Bad foresight and lack of planning for the long term, is about to bring the whole machine down!

Don't count your chickens before they hatch pg13. There's an awful lot of voters that don't like the direction the country is headed in and stopping Obama's radical agenda is at the top of their list of things to do.

     SS Savage and all her running dogs will be held responsible for the failure to privatize the County home, for the failure to stop this Martian designed downtown library addition, the failure to consolidate anything including the Village of Scotia, and the $100 million dumped into Downtown "arts" with no jobs.
