A testy U.S. Sen. John F. Kerry yesterday blamed clueless voters with short attention spans for the uphill battle beleaguered Democrats are facing against Republicans across the nation.
“We have an electorate that doesn’t always pay that much attention to what’s going on so people are influenced by a simple slogan rather than the facts or the truth or what’s happening,” Kerry told reporters after touring the Boston Medical Center yesterday.
Conservative political blogger William Jacobson, who writes Legal Insurrection, immediately pounced on Kerry’s comments, saying that attitude is why voters are looking to shake up Capitol Hill by electing upstart candidates such as U.S. Sen. Scott Brown.

Clueless voters are the reason these liberal Demokratz are elected in the first place and re-elected to multiple terms. Conservatives will be the ones to save liberals from themselves. |

I wouldn't even waste my time saving the liberals. They don't want to be saved! They love drowning in taxpayer's money!!! |

You're right...liberals aren't worth saving...but unfortunately they will reap the inherent benefits of the conservative movement in progress. The same "clueless" voters who elected these liberal Demokratz finally seem to be waking up from their comas...which is why Kerry's Party is in trouble. |

I don't always agree with John Kerry -- but a lot of the Perpetual Negativity Choir/RepubliCAN'TS are in fact clueless. |

Kerry thinks that the people are clueless because they don't agree with him and his parties radical socialist agenda. The people have finally woken up and don't like what the Dems have done so they are going to punish them big time in November and Kerry doesn't like it because his power will be gone. |

the short attention span is in the listening and hearing skills of our elected.....they give little cliche's and podium pucks without substance......kind of like a hollywood movie......they like to tickle ears... because god forbid someone might tell them they dont like them......being a team player also means standing up in the middle of the clubhouse and saying...NO BECAUSE, BLAH BLAH BLAH........ |

It is obvious that the american people are not happy with either major party. They voted Bush's reps out and voted obama's dems in thinking there would be a change in the right direction. The people didn't like that outcome either. So now they will vote out obama's dems and vote in 'hopefully' tea party candidates that govern from the middle. Time will tell and we'll see if any change can get this country back on track and in balance. |

This is a bit off topic, but I think it relates to the central idea here...so for those of you who have not already seen this somewhere, some food for thought...
The following quote is from someone in the Czech Republic who, IMO, has summed this up in a way anyone can undersand.
"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of trusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama president than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgement to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symtom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president." |

The new members voted into Congress had better heed the wishes of the people or when they face election again they'll be voted out of office too. When you overstep your authority, ignore the Constitution, ignore the will of the people, and vote for a bill that 60% of the people don't want there are consequences and that's why we have elections, to correct mistakes. Remember in November. |
