Teenager charged
in downtown
store robbery
    SCHENECTADY — A local teen, accused of taking an expensive pair of shoes by punching the owner of the shoes twice at a downtown store, was arrested Tuesday after a police foot chase, authorities said.
    Police caught up with Jamaul Tention, 17, of Hilderbrandt Avenue, shortly after the robbery, arresting him at the corner of Union Street and Seward Place, according to papers filed in court.
    Tention is accused of punching the owner of a pair of Nike Jordan Retro shoes in the head twice, just before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. The incident was reported at Lee’s Four Seasons, at 428 State St. The shoes were valued at $150.

You can't blame Ms Savage for a robbery downtown .. if you can blame her .. then blame Farley, too

What has Farley done to stop crime anywhere in his district?
Farley can't even stop the criminal activity in the Republican Caucus of the State Senate.

I don't believe this news. The Gazetto/SS Savage/Death Ray/Mayor SOS and Mercury Morris have all repeatedly stated that there is no crime Downtown. There is no need for Guardian Angels. This must be a misprint because the Gazetto would never print something that wasn't completely true. Just today they did another "in depth" report interviewing 4 cheer leaders. One cheer leader that had been robbed even said there is no crime.

    Hugh Farley is not running around making a complete fool of himself saying that he created a "miracle".

Hugh Farley doesn't need to run around to make a complete fool of himself.

He has made a fool of himself by sitting in the State Senate for 34 years --- allowing the GOP majority
of whoch he has been a high ranking member to get away with corruption and dysfunction for 31 or 32
of the years that he was in that body.    

It is time for Farley to go ... give Susan Savage a chance to show what she can do in the State Senate ..
the Perpetual Negativity Choir in here claims they are sick of the incumbents and want change .. yet they
really just want to keep guys like Farley in the State Senate doing NOTHING  ... and Double Dipping to the
tune of almost $200,000 of our our taxpayer money.   What a bunch of phoneys and hypocrites.

Supported on 2 blocks of state street with taxpayer's money while the rest of schenectady county is in shambles!!! Created an $80K patronage job for Kosiur at the taxpayers expense.

Susan Savage had her chance.....and she has failed the schenectady taxpayers miserably!

Since much of the increase in the County budget is tied to UNFUNDED mandates from the state --social
service, medicaid, etc ...   you should actually blame Hugh Farley and every incumbent State Legislator
for the high county taxes state wide.

Hmmmmm.....it's all the state's fault now right? I agree that the state places unrealistic mandates, but Susan Savage has been in her ruling position .... for how many years? And yet she still hasn't figured it out, has she?

She still creates an $80K patronage position for Kosiur at the taxpayers expense...was that mandated by the state? Did the state mandate Susan Savage to spend how many hundreds of thousands of taxpayer's money for a LITTLE LEAGUE PARK that will benefit one of her/dem parties largest contributors? Did the state mandate Savage to give Recovery Grill taxpayers money to seal a private deal??

Don't tell us about the burden of state mandates. Susan Savage uses that, just as you do, as an excuse for the reckless spending and over taxing the already burdened taxpayers in schenectady county!

You're right for once DVOR. We demand change. Change in the dysfunctional County government and State Senate. SS Savage is such a great leader she can't even site a new County Home. Farley is far from perfect but the most important thing is to change the State Senate back to REP hands.
