That would have been a very smart move so that the exit 25a area could be developed by the type of businesses that will make a real difference to this town. Without infrastructure not many businesses are going to be interested in building there.

We can still address the sewer issue along Route 7 -- it should be a high priority.

The problem is that there are several areas of the town that need revitalization YESTERDAY ..
so we have to focus on one or two and get something rolling .. then focus on the next one or
two.

Also, we have to be willing to set aside partisan sniping and worries about who will get credit
for it.     Ronald Reagan once said -- "you'd be amazed at what can be accomplished .. if
people work together and don't worry who will get the credit for it".

Maybe the highway dept can start by digging a 6' trench and filling it with sewer pipe

We have
Dozers
Dumptrucks
Excavator
Backhoe

What's the hold up

There is $300,000 left over in the snow fund

Get on it

yes - but I believe that would be a conflict of interest to hire him to install the sewer system.

wasn't there some talking between local town developers to 'create a company' to do the plumbing and build the plant?....it's ALWAYS  a holdup with
the 'big fish'.......why do we wait for them? are we supposed to bow and kiss their asses?

I believe that part of the proposed McLaine's project was the offer to install sewers on Route 7 --
but that project was slowed down so long that the recession hit and McLaine's went elsewhere.

We were talking about installing a sewer system .. not fixing a broken pipe in the winter.

so am I, we have well qualified staff - don't take them for granted

and some of us insist on paying a higher price for everything under the guise of stimulus

the stimulus money has already been spent -- and as far as I can tell Rotterdam didn't get a dime
