It will be a terrific political sideshow I am sure!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

This BOA study is funded by a grant applied for by the Tommasone administration and awarded by the
state earlier this year.   The study is non-partisan -- should be supported by people of all parties and
political views.   The purpose is to look at several "brownfield" sites in Rotterdam Jct -- between Route
103 and Schenectady International - and between the Mohawk Rover and the Thruway.
The purpose of the public meetings is to inform the public of the process and get as much input from
the residents about what THEY want .. as far as economic and other development in that part of the
town.

To respond to the previous two comments - it is NOT "crap" nor is it a "political ideshow".

It is an opportunity for residents, business leaders, and community leaders to discuss and share ideas --
from which will come a realistic vision for POSITIVE development in Rotterdam Jct.

that is just soooooo rotterdam. Putting the horse before the cart. No vision....no plan....no infrastructure. But let's all get together and talk about how we want our town developed.

OOPS.....sorry, we don't have sewers!!!

If sewers are called for .. that can be included in the eventual plan --- this first step is a STUDY ... and
part of that study is getting resident input
no cart has been put before any horse  ...

if you would drop your negativity and just come to the damn public meeting ... you can learn about the
process and then share your ideas .. and maybe ... just maybe  .. do something positive and
constructive for the town for a change

WTH?....First and foremost everyone knows that sewers are needed!!!! Propose the cost of new sewers to the taxpayers FIRST and see if they will vote YES.....THEN you move forward!! Without sewers nothing will be developed.
Again....A$$ BACKWARDS! Seweres first studies later!!

That is how 'intelligent' municipalities do it!!

yeah,,,,,I went to the meeting on Hamburg St.......I learned about the process and all they were selling was a roundabout(which I do like)
but that was in the works via STATE......when grant $$/study $$ comes in, there is already a 'solid piece of the pie' being sold
from within their briefcase.....the 'sales folk' just bring it around.......

In the case of Rott. Junc., the treatment plant is as much of, or more so, a priority as the sewers.  Assuming you even had sewers, you couldn't pump it all the way to the existing wastewater treatment plant, so this would mandate a second treatment plant.  Even if it was feasible to pump it (which it isn't), the existing plant is pretty much at capacity.  In fact, there may be upgrade requirements once Helderburg Meadows, Curry Road Shopping Plaza housing project, and Larned's 248 Garden Apartment complex all gets hooked up.

To agree with your statement, nothing moves or gets looked at without sewers, (and to add), and a wastewater treatment plant!

well -- there will be no salesmen with briefcases at the meeting -- just folks from the Study Group and the
residents
