So Peeper since you, Mr. Severson, Tony Jesenski the ilk spoke at the meeting to not give a stipend
or hire Eunice's former typist for the Deputy Town Clerk job, are you eating crow now?  You reap what you sow....
EE, you and your buddies created this mess. Have a fun time getting that job now.

Actually - we opposed the naming of a Deputy Town Clerk who had not been appointed by Eunice -- state
law is VERY CLEAR .. only the elected Town Clerk can name the Deputies .. the Supervisor and Town Board
can ONLY set the compensation (if any) and define the job description of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Deputies.

As for compensation - I believe that Peeper and Tony would agree with me that everyone deserves to be
justly compensated.

Google Search -- New York State Consolidated Laws -- then go to  Town Law --  Article 3, Section 30 -30

I also stand corrected -  it is a First Deputy and 2 additional Deputies (not 3 additional)

ROTTERDAM
New employee in clerk’s office?
No definitive answers regarding Severson’s job status with town

BY JUSTIN MASON Gazette Reporter
Reach Gazette reporter Justin Mason at 395-3113 or jmason@dailygazette.net.

There is a new face in the Rotterdam Town Clerk’s offi ce this week.
Ron Severson, the chairman of the town’s Parks and Recreation Committee and one-time candidate for Town Board, appeared in the office Wednesday and was back at work Thursday afternoon. He joins Deputy Clerk Michelle Golden in the absence of longtime Clerk Eunice Esposito, who has been on paid leave since late March.
But there’s a hitch: Severson isn’t on the town payroll and it’s unclear whether he’s been appointed to replace Golden, who is still employed in the office and says she is not planning to resign. When asked about his job status, Severson politely declined to answer any questions.
“You’ll have to refer all questions to the supervisor’s office,” he said from behind a desk.
Supervisor Frank Del Gallo was unsure of Severson’s and Golden’s roles in the town clerk’s offi ce during the ongoing absence of the 83-year-old Esposito. He suspected Severson would be a temporary fill-in for Golden, who is scheduled to take time off sometime in October.
“He’s probably going to fi ll in for Michelle while she’s gone,” he said.
Severson’s appearance in the clerk’s office followed a pair of executive sessions conducted by the Town Board last week, including a heated one following their meeting Wednesday. During the public portion of Wednesday’s meeting, board member Nicola DiLeva said she needed to discuss issues within the clerk’s office and asked to do it in private session.
An Aug. 30 letter from Esposito to Del Gallo that was obtained by The Daily Gazette suggests Golden was poised to leave her post as deputy to consider “other avenues of employment.” In the letter, Esposito appointed Severson as her first deputy in the event of Golden’s “resignation or acceptance of another position.”
“I would further recommend that Ms. Golden’s salary be transferred to Mr. Severson upon her resignation or acceptance of a position elsewhere,” Esposito’s letter states.
Under town law, Esposito is permitted to appoint a first deputy, as well as two additional deputies. In Rotterdam, only the fi rst deputy’s position is funded.
The town’s 2010 budget allocates $50,350 for the clerk’s position and $33,195 for a typist’s job in the offi ce. A salary of $11,000 for the deputy clerk was removed from the budget last year, but an additional $32,500 was attached to the position when Golden was hired full-time. The typist’s position has since been moved to the Department of Public Works. ..............>>>>.............................>>>>...........http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01000&AppName=1

so, nearly triple the salary from the previous administration. This must be how you run a successful business.

FDG doesn't know why he's there? I thought he was the supervisor and knew everything that was happening in town hall? Godlewski doesn't know?  If there's no resolution appointing or funding the position, wouldn't this be a security / privacy concern??

The problem with FDG is the law books are not in "schoolhouse rock" format

Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey thought they were the GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH.  Take a look and see what is under the big tent at 1100 Sunrise Blvd.

Watching this Town Board is like watching the freak show at the carnival. It's horrifying and intriguing at the same time.  And when you walk out, you actually start to feel sorry for these poor souls.

The issue will be resolved.  We do know what is going on.  We will let the Gazette
know all the facts when the time is apporopriate.

Thank god a patronage appointee will let the residents know what is going on, when HE feels the time is appropriate.

Phew...And all this time I thought that the Supervisor was in charge of things going on at Town Hall.

The Rotterdam Supervisor is like the Queen of England - more of a figure head than policy/decision maker.

As I see it.  This administration can't do anything for the people's work to get done unless Kelly Rhinesmith and her puppets control the agenda.  Remember, the voters wanted change but the "conservative" faction of the DEMOCRATIC PARTY wants the change to be to their liking.  If not, sue, sue, sue, sue, embarass, embarass, embarass, harass, harass, harass, mock, mock, mock .  Who suffers at the end of the day?  The TAXPAYER!  FDG needs to put an end to the cut throats he either inherited or appointed.  Enough with the cut throat Schenectady County Politics and let the elected officials do their job without the B_U_L_L_S_H_I_T gothcha politics.  The previous administration needs to accept the fact they lost.  The NNTP fiasco needs to accept the fact they lost. Appointed officials leftover and newly hired get behind the people that pay you!

We need to move forward and unite.  The self destruction of the Rotterdam and Schenectady GOP is enough for me to understand the PEOPLE are fed up with the cut throat politics that seem to define Rotterdam.  Either get on board the train or get off!!!  The PEOPLE do not deserve this.  I am disgusted by the actions and behavior of so-called team players.  This is not what the PEOPLE wanted!!

This is comical. Shades of pathetic Nancy Pelosi's "we have to pass the bill to know what's in it". But I bet she can spell appropriate appropriately.

How about letting the taxpayers know what the hell is going on? I like the circus analogy. But at least the circus is not taxpayer funded.

Peeps is blaming everyone and everything than the already sitting town board who is clearly the problem.
Blaming the GOP.
Blaming the NNTP.
Blaming KR.
Resorting to  words like 'cut throat politics'.....palleeeezzzee!

The problem rests solely on the local democratic party!!
It is apparent that ND has become the only voice of reason on the TB.
