And your point is.......what?  Speaking of bloated have you seen Kevin March lately?   Eat a salad dude.  The town comptroller is probably gone the first of the year, so his analysis had very questionable "political" overtones imho.  We shall see if the courts will even hear this before schedule A is put in motion.  Why didn't Frank challenge the county and city decisions.  Nothing but pure unadultertrated gothcha GOP B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T  Rotterdam politics.  That worked well in 2009 Bahahahah!!!!

First of all, it takes someone very childlike to stoop to calling names and using inuendo...especially from an alias and not using your own name.  Let's keep my personal life out of this.  This is the last statement I will make on this, or anything else concerning my personal life.

I don't know what's going on with the town comptroller, but if he is the one that they are supposed to turn to to see what is going on as far as if it is fiscally responsible and they hear that it isn't, and that it is thrown out and they go against him, then it is THEY that are the irresponsible ones.

I don't know why Mr. Salamone didn't decide to fight against the County Legislature, but there's one glaring reason that he didn't bring this against the City of Schenectady.  Even you should be able to figure this out... HE'S A RESIDENT OF THE TOWN OF ROTTERDAM, NOT OF THE CITY OF SCHENECTADY, THEREFORE HE HAS NO GROUNDS TO SUE THEM.  SOMEONE ELSE WILL HAVE TO STEP UP.

I am also a plaintiff in this case, as can be seen in the following paragraph, copied from the above link, for anyone who doesn't go to read the entire story...

Quoted Text
Salamone, a petitioner and attorney for the petitioners in the lawsuit, is joined by town resident Kevin March and Town Board Member Gerard Parisi — bring the petitioner total to three.

“We all have different interests,” said Salamone. “I was at the meeting, Mr. March didn’t know about the meeting and Mr. Parisi was deprived of his right to vote because of Section 62 and other areas of law no one knew had been violated until after I filed those papers.”

Thanks, but like I said, this is not needed.  I'm only doing it for what is right.

I'm glad Salamone did this and I definitely respect Mr. March and Mr. Parisi for joining him. It is nice to see citizens and candidates for public office willing to stand up for what they believe in. Too often we hear politicians complain about what is going on yet they do NOTHING to change it.

As far as Rasputin attacking Mr. March, that is absolutely uncalled for. It says a lot for this administration's cheerleaders when the only arguments they have left is to make personal attacks on citizens of this town. GROW UP!

We warned you that you would be no match for KR!!!
And at least KR doesn't insult a 'private citizen'.

Back on topic....yes I'm glad to see these three file suit against the town. However, it would appear that parisi and salomone have a political agenda in mind. Perhaps this will garner some votes for Salomone. Parisi is a non issue. But in either case,I'm glad they are challenging this issue!
Kevin is just doing the right thing as a private concerned citizen.

The Pillsbury Doughboy Doogie Howser

How about getting your supervisor to drag a comb through that rats nest before showing up to the meetings.

And while your at it...

See if there are any involuntary motor skills exercises available to teach your supervisor how to breath with his fly catcher closed.  I'm not sure that neaderthal has evlolved to the point of performing the complicated modern human function of breathing through the nose.

ROTTERDAM
Suit challenges incentive’s approval

BY JUSTIN MASON Gazette Reporter

Rotterdam is facing a legal challenge after the Town Board approved a local law allowing the supervisor to offer lucrative retirement incentives to several employees.
In the 28-page challenge filed in state Supreme Court this week, local attorney Frank Salamone is claiming Rotterdam officials wrongly approved a pair of resolutions allowing the incentive because they failed to alert Town Board members of their meeting in a timely manner. The Article 78 lawsuit claims Supervisor Frank Del Gallo alerted fellow board members of the hastily convened meeting only 26 hours in advance, as opposed to the two days required under state law.
In addition, Salamone claims the three board members who attended the late-August meeting failed to provide a public comment period after substantively changing the wording of the local law. The lawsuit also calls into question whether Deputy Supervisor Robert Godlewski and board member Matt Martin could even vote on the law, considering that Del Gallo failed to provide them with a copy of it seven days in advance of the vote in accordance with state law.
“Basically, Del Gallo, Godlewski and Martin ignored every possible provision of law related to both the actual calling of the meeting and the vote on the specific proposal,” said Salamone, a Republican running for the sole Town Board seat coming up for election this fall.
Salamone was joined in the legal action by resident Kevin March and Gerard Parisi, the lone Republican on the board. Nicola DiLeva, one of two Conservatives on the board, provided an affidavit supporting Salamone’s claim.
Town Attorney Michael Godlewski hadn’t received the lawsuit Wednesday and declined to comment on the specific allegations. However, he said the majority of the board stands behind the legality of the resolutions passed during the meeting.
“The town continues to take the position that we haven’t done anything wrong, and we’re going to defend the lawsuit zealously,” he said Wednesday.
But defending the lawsuit could pose a bit of a conundrum for the town, since one of its own board members is among the parties suing.
Because Godlewski and fellow Town Attorney Joseph Liccardi represent all members of the board, they would need Parisi’s consent to defend the lawsuit. Were Parisi to refuse, board members would have to hire a private attorney to defend the case. And that could become expensive for the town, Godlewski acknowledged.
“It is an issue,” he said.
Parisi, who once served as town attorney, said he isn’t in favor of seeking outside counsel for the case because it would be a waste of money. In his opinion, he said the board fl agrantly violated the law when it conducted the meeting and passed the resolutions.
“It’s almost an open-and-shut case,” he said. “You can’t sneak a law in before the public knows what you’re doing.”
Town officials had until September to approve the incentive, which is only available to workers older than 55 who have at least 25 years invested into the state retirement system. Under the proposal, board members would have the ability to offer workers one additional month of service credit for each year of town employment for up to three years of additional retirement credit.
Comptroller Patrick Aragosa has indicated the total payout from the incentive could cost the town about $191,000 — in addition to about $85,000 in unused vacation time payments — if it were offered to all eligible workers. The payouts could ultimately cost the town if the positions were later fi lled.
“This is money we simply don’t have in these hard economic times,” Salamone said. “We need to do whatever we can to reduce the tax burden on the residents of this town, and spending close to a quarter of a million dollars on golden parachutes for political friends is not in the best interest of this town.”

you must be in that loud town gumba minority.....my guess is the 'push' for retirement incentives is all just gumba butt patting.....
sounds like ya'll are doin' the grab and run before ya'll are outdated along with the septics....
I could really care less about who is who here but it seems that your 'click' is aging and the highschool football stories are getting old
and the pom-poms are wilted.......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
