Looks like rotterdam has no choice now but to put the push on for Salamone to fill parisi's seat. Although it now appears that ND can handle herself, it would be easier if she had support! And it looks like rotterdam's only choice is Salamone.

If that were true (that he was our only choice) - I'd be packing my bags to move to Alaska.

Why?

Because if Mr. Salamone were the only choice -- I'd think we were in trouble.  Fortunately, we have
another choice

I've yet to hear Calder make a comment or argument for anything at any T.B. meeting.  I'll go with Salamone to try to bust the super majority, and more importantly because Salamone has spunk and he's a fighter.  I think he wants to do good things for Rotterdam and that his intentions are honorable.

Mr. Salamone is intelligent - in terms of book learning - but not wise when in the "ways of the world".
He has let himself be used as the "attack dog" by the GOP "machine" .. he reminds me more of
Charlie McCarthy  than Joe McCarthy.

Since the law allows for emergencies .. and this was an emergency .. it was perfectly legal.

Is it perfectly legal to notarize signatures of the deceased?
Or perhaps pass resolutions for illegal rezones!

In Rotterdam, if you are a Dem, anything is legal!

Quoted from Kevin March
I have e-mailed Mr. Martin to ask him to explain his reasoning for even showing up at this meeting, asking him why he changed his vote and requesting that he send me a copy of the e-mail that was distributed to ask for this special meeting.  If and when I receive any of this information, I will post it.

Martin's reasoning behind his changed vote was that he reviewed the budget more extensively and claims he has identified
potential savings...then decided that the option should be left open. He further states that he will not vote to pay out the
incentives for anyone on a "targeted" list"...and he will not support the package for Darlene Mullally.

Not only has he failed to take a position on anything, but when I asked him specifically about his positions on the retirement
incentives and the EMS tax district, he refused to state his position...saying he would deliver an opinion "in time"...by which I'm
sure he means after the election. At least Salamone will take a position and defend it...before the election...publicly.

Actually, state law allows for emergency meetings of the Town Board whether it is called
by a Democrat or a Republican.

As far as the notary issue - that was a GOP planned dirty trick - the only criminal activity
were those involved in the conspiracy to commit a fraud by tricking Mrs. Esposito.

Maybe it was because like most sane people  - he didn't want to talk to you.
