HELP WANTED - We're taking up a collection to free some ice cream trucks that we believe are trapped inside the Rotterdam Industrial Park.
We figure they've got to be trapped there since we've been assured by police and political officials in Rotterdam that the town's ice cream truck ban is so stringent it doesn't even allow the trucks to use Rotterdam streets.
If that's so, we wondered, how could an ice cream company - which gave its address as the Rotterdam Industrial Park - advertise for ice cream truck drivers?
The drivers, according to the ad, are needed in Guilderland (one of those bucolic backwoods burgs taht hasn't outlawed free enterprise.)
So, we're taking up a collection to free the trucks from the industrial park and have them airlifted out to the freedom of suburban Albany County.
