Parisi thought obtaining around a third of the votes was significant considering the short primary election cycle.

“I think having gone from 2 percent to a result of 35 percent is a pretty good result,” said Parisi. “It is a short election cycle … after labor day you have about a week and half to get your message out.”

New York State has one of the latest primary elections of all states in the nation.  There is talk about pushing it ahead (earlier) so that candidates who are selected in the primary elections have more time to campaign against their ultimate opponent.  Candidates for elected office in New York State who are preparing to run in a Primary Election have more time to campaign prior to that election than in most other states.

That's how Lazio got himself in trouble at the state level.  He was already campaigning about Cuomo, he didn't think that Paladino stood a chance.  Inthis year, of all years.

I think it is a good idea to have equal representation on the town board. Not everyone in any municipality is like minded. Neither should their representatives be.

We went to dinner at Canali's tonight and some guy at the bar siad that Parisi will be doing a press conference endorsing Amedore early next week.  What a crock of B.S.  GP will NEVER endorse GA no matter what!  I don't care what the "right" thing to do is, he's too arrogant.

BUT, actually if Santabatbata or his wife are convicted of election fraud, then GP will act like he totally supports the party.  What a joke!

Amedore wasted thousands in taxpayer money on bogus lawsuit in the process, nice job. Why would we keep someone that has a total disregard for taxpayer dollars??
