A proposal to build a mosque steps from Ground Zero received the support of a downtown committee despite some loved ones of 9/11 victims finding it offensive.

The 13-story mosque and Islamic cultural center was unanimously endorsed by the 12-member Community Board 1's financial district committee.

Oh and don't forget 'tolerance'. That's the other 'catch word' the libs use. We are forced to tolerate the intolerable.

Tolerance is good, unless your views are against the police state, then you are not tolerated.

Point taken! So where is the outrage from the muslim community in this country against radical muslim terrorists? Oh there's a few here and there that speak on a cable new network....but where are the rest? ESPECIALLY since it was some of their family members that were killed too.

Where is the outrage from the american muslim community????

Muslim fanatics have NO PROBLEM killing anyone including other muslims. They are indiscriminate terrorists amounting to what is a new form of world-wide national socialism. Islam today is more than a religion, it is a virulent and violent form of political and social ideology that destroys anything in its way, including other Muslims who don't toe the line, or who collaborate with the West. Thanks for proving the point that Mulsim killers kill anyone. Seeing that you don't have a problem with a radical cleric building a Mosque there for celebratory reasons also proves how degenerate and black hearted you are. You should rot in hell for taunting the victims of that attack by wanting to build that there. No go back to your democrap party outreach office and enroll some more muzzies and illegals.

A do agree with you that no "RADICAL CLERIC" should be allowed to build a mosque, church, temple or any other religious  building near ground zero.

American Muslim cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, Christian Pat Robertson, Sheikh Abdullah al-Faisal, and Christian Jeremiah Wright  should be discouraged from preaching their hatred so near the site of the World Trade Center.

And:

This site focuses on condemnations of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and other terrorist incidents.   It is not a complete listing of all condemnations written or spoken by Muslims but is intended to provide a representative sample.

Yea it took Fox News until 2004 to run a positive story on Muslims.  But at least they FINALLY ran it.

If you look at the other link I included, you'll see many condemnations by Muslims.  For example this posted on Sept 11,2001:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - 9/11/01
U.S. MUSLIMS CONDEMN TERRORIST ATTACKS

(WASHINGTON, DC - 9/11/2001) - The American Muslim Political Coordination Council (AMPCC), today condemned the apparent terrorist attacks in New York and Washington and offered condolences to the families of those who were killed or injured.

The AMPCC statement read in part:

"American Muslims utterly condemn what are apparently vicious and cowardly acts of terrorism against innocent civilians. We join with all Americans in calling for the swift apprehension and punishment of the perpetrators. No political cause could ever be assisted by such immoral acts."

Leaders of the American Muslim Political Coordination Council (AMPCC) held a meeting in Washington, DC, on Tuesday, September 11, 2001, to issue the following points related to the terrorist attacks:

    1) We assert unequivocal condemnation based on our religious values and our identity as American Muslims;

    2) We do not need to defend every maniacal incident emanating from the Muslim world or the Muslim community, just as other religious groups need not defend their extremists;

    3) We offer compassion to the victims and solidarity with all Americans in the face of danger;

    4) Notwithstanding the disbelief that anyone following the faith of Islam could commit such a heinous crime, we condemn the act regardless of the identity of the perpetrators;

    5) We deplore the irresponsible reporting that twists the realities and complexities of the Muslim world in order to project only anti-American sentiment during this disturbing period when we are all attempting to move beyond the state of mourning for the national tragedy;

    6) We warn against opportunists who will exploit the misery and hysteria of the public in order to promote a political agenda aimed at tarnishing the name of Islam and Muslims;

    7) We should not diminish our resolve to be active in protecting the civil liberties of all Americans and struggling for justice both locally and globally;

    8) We need to organize activities to help the victims medically, psychologically and in every other way we can.

philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Kinda like the time frame it takes the Gazette to print local stories after everyone else .. or better, their time taken to acknowledge and print corrections to incorrect reporting.  Gotcha. Thx.
