Parisi is lame and Buchanan is washed up.  The NNTP was aa rollerskating tour of what not to do when you want to run for office.  What merit did it produce?  None.  And it made enemies out of friends.  Look at McGarry--he has turned into an arrogant no-mind.  Littlefield has fled the area.  Mertz is an oaf and the only nice guy has never been heard from again.

He has a long distinguished record of community service  unlike his opponent.

Yikes, I hope his "long distinguished record of community service" isn't similar to EE's.  Rotterdam doesn't need another unproductive public servant sitting home on their duff at the taxpayers' expense!

Salamone is a dolt.  But thank G-d he is not Paladino-esque.  I am no fan of Salmone but at least he is not the obnoxious personality that Paladino is.  Salamone is just not ready for prime time yet. Calder will beat him hands down.

Mr. Salamone is not a dolt.   Like I have said since last Spring --- if Frank ever decided to come over to
the side of "goodness and light"   a.k.a. the Rotterdam Democrats  ---- then I would be happy to work
with him .. and help him get elected to something.
He is intelligent and has a lot of other good qualities --- he just needs to focus on being more positive ...
being FOR something as opposed to always being the "negative voice" .. or letting himself be used as the
"negative voice".

In all my years of watching Rotterdam politics and the last say 6 years of being involved in it more directly -- I have met a lot of good people in BOTH parties.    I have met good candidates from BOTH parties ...
granted the GOP has lacked some good candidates in the past few years  --- the only exception to that
was Frank Renna  ..... I have known his mother for years and Frank is one of the good guys.

Ron I don't get you first you say salamone has no history of community service--an outright lie...then you say you'd work with him if he was a democrat. How about caring more about the town than party. Either you think Salamone is good or you don't. Does party really matter that much MORE than the town!?

As to whether Salamone does any community service, this is from his website: http://salamoneforrotterdam.com/About_Frank.html

Frank Salamone has devoted himself to public service throughout his entire life. He started Cub Scouts at a young age, and progressed through the ranks, ultimately achieving the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 32 when he was a senior in high school. Frank continues to serve as a member of the Troop 32 Committee, as an adult volunteer. When he was a student at Utica College of Syracuse University, Frank was a founding member of,
and founding treasurer of, the Make-A-Wish Foundation's Student Wishmaker program on campus.

I volunteer my time to help only those Democratic candidates that I believe
in get elected.      For candidates who are NOT  Democrats -- I would be happy to
contact out my services as a political consultant -- terms of the contract to be
negotiated.

Mr. Salamone is a nice guy but he does not have the resume' and record of
community service that his opponent has.
Yes, I would work with Frank ... IF he became a Democrat.

As for the caring more about the town than the party  -- I have a proven track record of doing that.
I accepted Mr. Tommasone's invitation to be a part of ... and then eventually Chair of ... the Parks
Commission against the wishes of the then Town Party Chair.

My reasoning then .. and is still now .. that my role on that Commission .. and the work of that Commission
is ABOVE partisan politics.   It is to serve the residents of the town and to help shape the future of one of
our finest assets -- our town's parks and recreation system.

In the past -- when I was associated with the Mont Pleasant neighborhood association -- I stood up publiclyand fought a plan by Mayor Stratton to close the public pool at Quackenbush Park.   I did that despite
some warnings by folks in my own party that it was not a wise move to do.   But we raised the funds to
keep the pool open and fought until the closure was recinded.

While I am proud to be a Democrat and work hard for the party,  I am not afraid to stand up when
necessary and take a different and difficult position on a variety of issues.

Bumble you never fail to amaze me with your assinine comments.  Working together works better if you are a Democrat.  We have learned that from watching people in Rotterdam on the Rep side.  Look at Mertz--he was the most arrognat self-serving Rep--next to Tomassone.  Mertz had nothing to recommend him once he became a council person.  He REFUSED to work with Paolino in a collegial manner.  Some Bumble you need to review the facts.

Your post is clearly a lie.

I work to help the candidates whom I like to get elected.   I have worked on campaigns for Republicans
including  my uncle - the late Surrogate Court Judge of Schenectady County ... for the late Clark Wemple
who was a State Assemblyman from Schenectady for a number of years.  I also worked for a candidate for
the State Senate in Michigan who happened to be a Republican.

As for the comments about having to be white Catholics ,.. that is offensive.   In my life, I have lived in
Detroit  and Baltimore  .. and in both places had the pleasure of attending Catholic parishes with
majority African-American congregations  --- and had many friends in both parishes.
One of the young ladies that I dated in high school was an African-American girl from a Catholic parish in
Detroit.

Your last comment deserves no response.

YOU have made it crystal clear that you will NOT work with a candidate UNLESS they were a democon!!!

YOU said it not me or anyone else!!! Don't forget to use it on your campaign literature when and if you choose to make a run for office. Cause if you don't use it....you can bet someone else will!

No lie here.....just repeating your very own words!!!
