Where is the Democrat primary poll? Why is this directed at the republicans? And why are there non-republicans in the poll?

Well, Black Spidey, maybe there is no Democrat poll as there has not been speculation yet who may be running.  Also, anyone can create a poll, so if you want one, go create it!

As for why there are non-republicans on the poll is because sometimes the Republican party in town will endorse someone of another party.  I think this was most recently done when Jack Denny ran for town board and lost.

Kevin the poll has changed since I created this thread. It started as a republican primary which didn't make sense being one person on it wasn't a republican and another has already said that he wouldn't be primarying the candidate selected by the committee.

One fella' said he wasn't running, so why poll a name that is out of consideration?

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Wishful thinking? He said he wasn't running! Why keep trying to foster an environment for competition and self-destruction? Tomaselli said he wasn't running - either back the endorsed candidate, or back his opponent!

What makes anyone here believe that the Republican Party committee pays any attention to this message board, or, for that matter, to
anyone else's opinions at all?

I viewed the poll only as the posters interest in determining who the people here would like to see run for town board.  Nothing more, nothing less.

And, as Kevin stated, anyone with an account can create a poll on any topic.

Mobile,

Parisi has said he's not running either, but his name is in the poll.

So, IF Salamone is the "true" choice of the committee, we'll expect a press release with an endorsement from the chairman and the sitting town board Republican.

You won't see this because this endorsement is in flux and still open to a different candidate,  watch and see.

The Dons can't forget what they had.

I heard an announcement was made by Buchanan and Longo at the Reagan Day Dinner - does that sound like it's in flux?

I heard that when Salamone interviewed, he agreed to step aside if the party asked him to, even AFTER becoming the endorded candidate.

So yea, always in flux.  Pretty sure you'll see a primary in this one too.
