Frank and my son were in a few classes together a long time ago. I was always impressed by Frank's demeanor, it wasn't that of a normal junior high student. I hope he does decide to run and that he gets an endorsement, I think he'd bring a welcome change

So is that how someone gets endorsed? It depends on how many times you get up to speak at a town board meeting?

If these are the qualifications, than Ms. Lawler(sp) should have got the endorsement hands down!!!!

slamming and commenting here is easy compared to standing at the podium and confronting the dais and your peers - you get one chance, no spell check or do-overs(mulligans)

I "respect" all those who step up to present their beliefs whether i agree or not,
I wish I could say the same about others.

I don't think the people on here do the interviewing, bumble...but for me, that would be one of the qualifications.  I don't just want to know where my candidate stands - I want to know that he's not afraid to share that with others, ESPECIALLY the "powers-that-be."

I think Tomaselli and Salamone bring similar qualifications to the position, and either would do very well.

I am impressed that the young newcomers are not RETREADS and the fact that those who were not selected are supporting those who were. This is a portent ( a sign of things to come for those of you in the cheering section at town hall) of unity that is refreshing.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

running one of the mario salamone brothers for town board and saying they arent retreads is a real stretch graham cracker.  They have been political pawns of the repubs for years, dating back to the original salamones WFP run.  It looks pretty obivious they are the hand picked candidates of the rep leadership.  which one is mario and which is luigi? neither will get the princess!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA

Claiming unity? I will beieve that when Parisi shows some support for Amedore and denounces santabarbaras run for assembly.

politics as usual in Rotterdam.  I cant wait for this election!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not going to voice a 'strong' opinion until this is proven as a fact. But I also will wait and see just how united this rep party is. We will see if they stand united with their party when Amedore's turn comes around.

Let's see if the rep's history will repeat itself....

JS vs JM
HV
AS
GP vs GA (?)

I hope that the reps aren't thinking that with this present merry band of idiots that sit on the town board will get them a free pass......think again!! Sure...just about ANYONE would be an improvement....but that's not how rotterdam politics works. Sure hope they learned that along the way.

LOL Bumblethru still living in the past I see.  Why don't you take a powder puff and find another hobby?  You have been rejected by the electorate, you go from one end of the spectrum to another, you hate people for what they have accomplished and you worship those who never reach beyond your perceived level of achievement.  What a waste of energy!

This isn't the past peeps. I am referring to 'very recent' history! And forgive me......but accomplishments don't cover up nor make stupid mistakes that impact the masses acceptable.

The REP implosion continues. This alleged selection proves once again that they are not interested in winning anything and want the same old same old. Total lack of leadership. Chris Tomaselli could have easily won this race.

BTW, the lack of primaries is hardly a positive thing. That's the only way some electable REP candidates might emerge. As it stands now, a complete rout for Mr. Calder.

Benny I think it's time you stop criticizing everything the Republicans do. In January you made the following comments:

Quoted from benny salami
Suhrada would have been a wonderful choice. What they need is a seat warmer. Both Tomaselli and Salamone are brilliant up and comers. Carolina is too qualified-she should take over as Chair.

Quoted from benny salami
They should beg Tomaselli or Salamone to take it. Fresh faces-leaders for the future. No more retrends? Hearing the same thing at Son's they are calling and nobody wants anything to do with it.

Quoted from benny salami
It's too sensible. Reach out to another party to expand the vote? Never happen with this crew.

Tomaselli and Salamone are two great young options. Buon Natale!

Now you get Salamone and all of a sudden it's a horrible decision? Seriously do you have any purpose other than sitting there criticizing every decision the party makes. I'm sure if they picked Tomaselli you'd be telling us how a horrible a decision that was and that Salamone would have been guaranteed victory. I think it's time you get up, stop criticizing every decision, and help make things better....But you don't really care about that, do you? You just want to feel important on a blog...
