Google is also a great wealth of information.

As far as who the reps picked....there are only rumors flying around right now. The rumors could be truth or just wishful thinking, cause I heard Tomaselli's name too. We'll have to wait and see.

Allow me to put the rumors to rest.

Those of you that know me and my family thank you for the support, however i will not be running for town board in this years special election.  I did interview for the position but was not chosen.  Those that I know of that also interviewed are all excellent candidates and will serve rotterdam well if elected.

Thank you again.

Spill the beans, Chris! Who else interviewed?

By the way, it's refreshing to see a Rep hopeful actually support his fellow interviewees, instead of Mertz-ing up the process!

Another thing I found ironic/interesting is Wayne Calder was one of the officers who was part of Kathie Raucci's case agianst Rottedam when her son(Chad) was killed by her husband Joseph Raucci.  Joseph is Steven Raucci's father.

Quoted Text
Ms. Raucci went to the Rotterdam Police station on Sunday, June 23, because Mr. Raucci had attempted to break into her apartment earlier that morning and threatened "to blow her head off." She signed an information charging Mr. Raucci with aggravated harassment by reason of his conduct of that day. See N.Y.Penal Law Sec. 240.30 (McKinney 1989). DeCarlo told her that the police would arrest Raucci on Monday when a judge would be available for arraignment. When Ms. Raucci returned to her apartment, Mr. Raucci appeared in her parking lot and continued to threaten her. She called the police, and they arrested Mr. Raucci on the basis of the information signed earlier that day. As he was being arrested, Mr. Raucci asked the officers to contact Deputy Chief DeCarlo, Officer Calder, and Officer Robert DeCarlo, since they were his friends and knew about this marital dispute.[ He was arraigned the next day and released on bail of $500 by Justice Edward O'Connor of the Town of Rotterdam Justice Court. Justice O'Connor was not apprised of the existence or contents of the tapes or the circumstances in which they were obtained, nor, would it seem, was he aware of the entire history of the bitter dispute involving the Rauccis.

Wayne Calder will be excellent on the board.  A wealth of knowledge and certainly committed to the town.

Sorry Chris that you didn't get picked.  Reps are a mess--more of a trainwreck locally and nationally.  Join the Dems--all the Reps are doing it.

Some people don't need to be on the "winning" side, they choose to fight for the principles that they stand for, not stand for the hand that's in control.

Nothing against you boomer - you're a die-hard dem (leaning liberal) ... everyone's got their calling.

So no to Tomaselli -

then that has to mean its going to Parisi, right?

whatever happen to that petition the committee was circulating to endorse a candidate for amedore's spot?

Gotta believe Parisi wont be able to get enough support outside of rotterdam to get the endorsement over amedore, so he stays on board.  makes sense to me but that doesnt mean much

Don Rafael Montero Parisi will put Sergeant Garcia Salamone up as the candidate for this election.

When Don Rafael believes the Assembly race is too dangerous, for fear of an all out character attack, he will order the baffoon Sergeant Garcia Salamone to step aside.

As for who will succeed, does it really matter?

MT--I am a die-haard Dem--yes.  Thank you for pointing that out to me and this forum.     Chris is young and wants to jump into this mess.  Already he sees he got passed over by their incompetent leader/s.  At this point the Rep leaders are more incompetent than the Dem leadership.  And I am not talking about the TB.  GP in an egomaniac.  I say give the kid a chance because GP won't make the grade this time if he chooses to run.
