Ask one of your "neighbors" They tell you and you take it as gospel everything wrong with Rotterdam. IMHO Bumbleass... move out if you don't like it. You have ripped everybody who gave their blood and guts to make Rotterdam a Nice place to live. I have read your posts from the beginning and for that matter most of the posts of every malcontent this board has seen. Move out if its sooo bad. Steve Tomassone, Joe Signore and John Mertz had the biggest impact on the "laughing stock of the political world"....our Town of Rotterdam. Jim Constantino is long gone. When will the rest of you idiots leave?

He is a retired police officer and we will be lucky to have him on the board. There are many of us who remember him from when we came to Rotterdam. He is smart, knows the town and its antics and has served our community well for many years. He is from Colonie and one of the brighter cops Rotterdam has ever had in place. I believe he will win.

We try to keep the vulgarity off the forum, it is a public site meant for obtaining and disseminating information about our Town. The Admin does not censure the posts, they depend on a minimum level of class and integrity by the posters. We all think Admin does an admirable job of maintaining the site, sounds to me like you are a malcontent, perhaps you might consider leaving . . . . . . IMHO

Listen, Dewd. This site is for information sharing and for people to become informed and debate on topics, locally and beyond. I see that you’re quite new here, unless you’ve been reading for a while. Either way, thanks for coming to the site.
Lately, I have more been reading than adding to the topics. That being said, the first amendment gives all the same right to speak. Fact is, it’s a free country and we can say what we want. That being said, if you don’t like what is being said here, then you can go ahead and feel free to join us in debate or you can go on and go somewhere else. That’s your choice. If you want to start up your own site and only allow certain people to speak or to give a certain view on an aspect, then all the power to you.
The Administrator of this site has found that the First Amendment is important and that both sides should have the right to state their opinion. If you don’t like that, then maybe this isn’t the site for you. You’re welcome to stay and chat, or you can go on your way to somewhere else. That’s up to you. Stating to the admin that they should shut this site down speaks against that freedom that so many have gone to their graves to permit over the past 230+ years.
The admin has allowed both sides of the argument to be aired without censorship, with the exception of certain software that only changes certain profane language.

I will take you up on that one Righteous for sure. I heard about this site watching a Town Board meeting and the You Tube stuff and some nut job called Gadfly and her relationship with the Admin. People having a number of screen names. Whatever?? The First Amendment wasn't writen as a provactive means to destroy reputations, a person's spirit and t promote downright nastiness. I hope the Admin does clean up the nasty character assasinations that date back to the site's inception. It is a shame that many residents see the crap on this site and preach it as gospel.
Bumblethru, Gadfly, Cicero have been members since inception, have scalded many a Rotterdam employee, resident or foe and yet their login rights have never been denied. This Joanne administator is as corrupt as all these past and present politicians you all rail about. Censorship???? Is that in the First Amendment. Double standard Joanne.

I don't understand. We come on here to share our views. You come on to shut down the site. E-mail the admin, and request she take it down. When she humbly refuses, end it...because you can't force her...especially on her own blog haha
While I don't think this site requires shutting down, it is full of people with a perverse sense of logic that do bash people right up until logical discussion comes around then the forum post stops getting replies from certain people.
