The discussion in question wasn't about the quality of his service. It was about HIS reasons for being on the Schalmont board, and leaving the Town Board.  I simply clarified your statements.

He believed his role on the Town Board was ineffective (and left because of it,) and continues to believe his role on the Schalmont Board IS effective.  Period and the end.

How am I certified nutty, exactly?

TBV your full of it.

As for the GOP votes and proxies, the notice of the meeting was actually drafted and sent by none other than Gerard himself!  Both the GFP and FS endorsements will be challenged in more ways than one.

As for serious questioning about GFP's ethics, he's not officially a candidate, but when he is, all bets are off.

As for tbv's argument on MDV, give it a rest (we all know the truth)

BS, yea Longo drafted that himself on his home computer LMAO

When the smoke clears everyone will see GFP holding the mirror and FS working the fog machine.

How much playing time did GFP's kid get at the expense of all the other kids on the team, talk about dreaming of the glory days.

In one post, you claim that Longo didn't announce the meeting, GFP and FS (who I think you're giving more scheming credit than they deserve) are masterminds that can apparently influence the ENTIRE committee, because there wasn't a SINGLE no vote, and that GFP is favoring his son on a basketball team.

Where do you come up with this stuff?

For the record, I called Gerard last night...he was not out to dinner with Angelo last week...but if he was, he said he would have no problem sharing it. That settles that. I also spoke with Chairman Longo after the Reagan Day Dinner and he mentioned that a meeting would be called the following week. There goes that conspiracy.

I'll let you do the investigation on the increased basketball play time scandal, Zorro. That is probably the biggest bombshell we've encountered so far...something has to be done!

you people are missing the point again -

WHO CALLED FOR THE MOTION TO ENDORSE PARISI OVER AMEDORE?

That is where the scheming comes into play,

Here is the pump fake - Committee meeting for "any business brought before the committee" (was the wording on letter, dont you think for something like the 105th assembly that longo would have put that in the letter)

that seems like a pretty boring meeting, most regulars would stay home, or just hand in their proxy.  Make a few calls, make sure you have enough people attending so you have a forum for a vote, slip your guy in with a loaded question/motion.  then BAMMM!!!! you suddenly turned a general meeting that most people thought would be inconsequential into an endorsement meeting for the 105th assembly.  Most people probably thought they would be planning FS fundraiser at the sons of italy catered by 4 corners pizza and angelos wine and cheese.  HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!

Who called for the motion? and who the hell SECONDED IT!!!

where are the minutes for this meeting? you will never see them i bet? Can you foil for crap like that?

meeting on the 6th - in the spotlight on the 7th.  Who released the info?

Spidey

have your people post the minutes from the endorsing FS meeting and endorsing GP meeting

unaltered please

Lay this to rest - show the votes - how many proxies-

or post the petition that was passed requesting this meeting in the first.  I would bet that FS has his signature as number 1 spot.

the fact that longo abstained and apparently resigned speaks volumes that it was not a true representation of the entire committee.

Peter, Peter, Peter, you are out of your flipping mind. There was no petition requesting this meeting. This meeting was called by the Chairman. At the Reagan Day Dinner  Chairman Longo said he was calling for a meeting. He did. Salamone had nothing to do with this.

So Longo abstaining speaks volumes that it was not a true representation of the entire committee!? Really!? It seems to me that if Longo was against it, he would have voted no. He didn't. Seems like he didn't have the balls to actually vote. Even if he did vote no, that is only one man's opinion, the Chairman's vote is no different than any other committeeman's. You are grasping at straws Peter and its very unbecoming of you after all you.

Well, I'm a registerd blank so I don't vote on any committee. It is ultimately up to these committee members, those registered with the party and the chair to bit*h. If they don't then there is clearly  nothing anyone else can do or say about it.

All I know is that there were some committee people who did turn in their proxies 'without' knowing about the parisi endorsement. They said they would have given their endorsement to GA!  It is up to them to do the bit*ching.

Back up a minute spidey

go back to the thread "what is wrong with rotterdam GOP"

this was in gazette   -GOTCHA!!!!

Members of the Rotterdam Republican Committee are discussing a possible primary challenge to state Assemblyman George Amedore, some saying that he didn’t help the party during a tough election season last fall.
Petitions have circulated among town committee members recently calling for the party to conduct a special meeting regarding Amedore’s endorsement. Some committee members who signed the petition are suggesting former committee Chairman Gerard Parisi as possibly better suited for the state Legislature’s 105th Assembly District.

“It’s time for some new faces in Albany,” said Mary Barrie, a committee member who made an unsuccessful run for a seat on the Schenectady County Legislature in November. “You have someone who’s willing to run, so let’s give him a try.”
Several committee members who signed the petition said they remain rankled by what they perceive as Amedore’s lack of support during heated county and town contests in November. Rotterdam Republicans were beaten in every contested race, leading to a clean sweep of the GOPcontrolled Town Board and the loss of one seat on the county Legislature.
Rotterdam committee member Frank Salamone said he signed the petition to determine what options are available for the seat, not as a call to oust Amedore. He said the incumbent hasn’t been as vocal on certain issues as some committee members expected and didn’t come to the local party’s aid in its time of need.
“George upset a lot of people,” he said. “He hasn’t really been doing anything for us.”

Like Barrie, Salamone said he would support a run by Parisi, who is serving out the year as an appointed Town Board member, the sole Republican on the board. But Salamone reiterated that the drive for a committee meeting was more focused on discussing potential candidates.     “We’re not saying this is done,” he said. “We’re saying we want to investigate whether there is a better candidate.”

Town Committee Chairman James Longo did not return a call for comment. It is unclear whether there are enough signatures yet to spur a special meeting of the committee.

Contacted Wednesday, Parisi admitted that he’s interested in a run for the Assembly, something that has been on his mind since party leaders initially approached him about the seat four years ago. If he does run for the seat, he said he would stump for term limits as a major campaign promise.

Parisi did not rule out a direct challege to Amedore, but a run for the Assembly might not entail one. He said there’s a chance Amedore could run against U.S. Rep. Paul Tonko, D-Amsterdam, whose seat is up for grabs in November, or for state Sen. Hugh Farley’s spot if the veteran legislator decides to retire.
“It may be an available seat,” he said of the 105th District.
Amedore said he plans to run for another term in office, even though he hasn’t announced his intentions yet. He said his focus now is on the state budget process, not the intricacies of seeking another term.
“There will be a time to campaign, but right now is not it,” he said.
Amedore disputed the notion that he didn’t help the Rotterdam Republicans at all during their 2009 campaign. He said he wasn’t deeply involved because he was never asked for help by the local chairmen.     “Never once did I receive any phone call from anyone,” he said.
Amedore’s endorsement will be subject to a decision by the party committees in both Montgomery and Schenectady counties. The Rotterdam Republicans are a sizeable faction of the Schenectady County party, which includes members from all of the committees in the outlying towns and the city.
Tom Buchanan, chairman of the Schenectady County Republican Committee, said a decision about Amedore’s endorsement will come before petitions are disseminated in June. Though aware of the petition drive in Rotterdam, he said there’s been no other indication that the county party wouldn’t endorse the incumbent.
“The town of Rotterdam can do what it wants,” he said. “But at the end of the day, the vote is held at the county level.”     Montgomery County’s Republican Committee isn’t expected to back away from Amedore either. Party Chairman Joseph Emanuele III said the county committee is pleased with the assemblyman’s performance and strongly supports his bid for reelection.
“Montgomery County has strongly supported George and his commitment to the 105th,” he said.

Peter the petition was circulated. It was never turned in. It was never used. The meeting was called by Chairman Longo, on his own. If you don't believe me call him.
