Bumble, it's funny that you now comment about the dysfunction in Rotterdam. You helped create it!

Sounds like Gerard (aka black spidey/green lantern) has zero support from Buchanan.  To make it more embarASSing, Longo resigns after a shady vote goes down.  Should any of us really be surprised?

GP is going to treat us all to a very fun learning experience: what happens when your closet is packed like sardines with skeletons and you decide to run in an election for public office.  As for MB and FS, anyone care to bet who runs away the fastest?

Funny as it is, the only leader in the GOP seems to be Buchanan.  Look at the bright side, he finishes cleaning out the closet and can start fresh in Rotterdam.

Zorro, I heard that even Longo's wife voted to endorse Parisi. Buchanan leader? He is the one apparently promising an endorsement against the will of the people. Is that leadership? Buchanan is trying to hold on to a sinking ship.

littlesal, I was there. Linda Longo was present and she cast her vote in favor of endorsing Mr. Parisi. As far as Jim Longo, he abstained. I wouldn't exactly call that a strong vote of confidence for Mr. Amedore.

Not sure. But it doesn't matter. All of those votes are valid, whether the person was physically there, or there by proxy. This is a smoke and mirrors attempt to try to downplay what happened. If you are so against proxies, maybe you should ask Buchanan how many proxies were used to make him chairman, or how many proxies were used to endorse Amedore in the past. This is a non-issue, stop trying to change the story from the committee favoring Parisi over Amedore to calling into question the will of the committee.

Face it Peter proxies are the way all these votes go. Why weren't proxies a problem when Amedore used them to get the endorsement to run for Assembly? Because it helped your golden boy? Is that it? Anything that helps Amedore (right/wrong dirty/clean legal/illegal) is fine? But anything, no matter how good, right and pure if it helps someone else is bad? Your underhanded tactics won't work this time.

Was the Amedore vote a vote to unseat a sitting Republican or a special off cycle election?  I can't recall...   I would think a vote to choose a candidate to run against the guy you chose just an election cycle ago would be considered a pretty big deal.  I would think you would want as many committee people present for the vote.JMHO

the problem i have is that you people keep saying the will of the committee

so my question is, does parisi have support of the committee or just a select group (MB, FS, etc) that "represent" the committee

obviously alot of proxies were used, and therefore i would conclude that this vote is not a representation of the committee and rather a select bunch.

the chair apparently resigning - speaks very loudly that he doesnt want anything to do with the clown show.  I understand that was the way things were done in the past,

but times are a changing and people are fed up with the system.

Were all of the committee members aware of this vote for parisi? This sounds like deja vu all over again, huh?

Sounds more like the chairman has egg on his face that even the chairman's wife thinks Parisi is a better candidate. Face it it's the will of the committee.

Because of Longo's wife? You're kidding, right?

Maybe this clown show is by design?  If you create enough apathy among committee people, and discourage enrollment, you can control the party without resistance.
