I think one matter of truth has not been omitted here. Shoporama pizza went down hill because of drugs especially cocaine. This is a FACT not fiction. I'm not going to say who, what or why but this was a very sucessful business that went down hill for a few different reasons. 1) Drugs, 2) Burn out from doing over twenty years and 3)Divorce. Please do know that Henry Neiber is a good man and a very devoted father. With that said he also had a very devoted crew that worked for him. Most of the employees had worked for Shoporama for years and they for the most part produced an excellent product. It is also my understanding that Shoporama was set to re-open, the business was to be sold to somebody from New York City and Henry was going to manage it but his wife has been blocking the sale. I was told this by a person with a very good reputation.

That's a very strong allegation -- 2 months after the end of the conversation.

Perhaps some things just don't need to come to public light, capiche?

I disagree, MT...there's a reason I don't do cocaine...so it never "comes up" anywhere, like on this blog.  I don't know who laddylam is referring to, but if it's true, I don't think it should be off limits!  When you own a business that sells to the public, you're in the public eye.

Agreed, BUT .. this business has been closed almost 3 months now, why open an old thread just to toss out an unsubstantiated allegation? laddylam isn't saying if it's the owner, employees, ex-wife, etc - but at this point, the business is closed, not going to re-open, why air dirty laundry now?

You can call what I say an unsubstantiated allegation but I know first hand. There is no need to name names or say who did what. But with that said I have read many of the comments on the board here and I only find it fair to state what is true. Its very sad to see what happened and the writing was on the wall over two years ago. I could go more in-depth but it would serve no purpose but to hurt people who have already hurt themselves. I only came across this board on the forum recently and that is why I commented on it so late. But the board is never closed until the moderator closes it. The whole purpose of community bulletin boards is to discuss what is happening around town and i believe the truth is fair game.
