Boomer, I welcome TBV to this thread ESPECIALLY if he/she is "not old enough to be on this forum." The idea that young people commenting on the goings on in town is a bad thing is laughable. I for one am glad that young people may care enough about their town to voice their opinions. It is imperative that we allow young people to be heard and guide them towards making intelligent decisions in the future, after all they are the future leaders of America. If TBV is indeed a young person I commend him/her for the comments in this thread and others. The individual behind these comments is wise beyond their years if he/she is actually a young person.
Either way, I agree with TBV, it is not unheard of for an owner to be absolutely clueless about the day to day goings on in their business. I remember back to my first jobs when we had free rein over the establishments without the owner having a clue! That is why people hire managers: so they don't have to deal with the headaches.
I also recommend 4Corners. I've never had a problem there. Their staff is personable and efficient. Their food is good. And their prices are more than reasonable.
The "old enough" comment was TIC. Henry himself was on this thread in response to the comments made. TBV, without manners or social skills, started blasting away. Henry had just revealed going through a difficult divorce etc. Any "thinking" person would have known this was not the time to begin attacking him re: to his business.
Certainly business owners who trust employees often aren't aware that their employees are acting against the best interest of the company. AS a result you have poor customer service, someone else's hand is in the till and a host of other unfortunate instances. This was not the time to chide Henry for any mismanagement on the part of his workers. TBV, I am sure, is someone who has been around the block not some child who hasn't learned how to be gracious. Shame on him and shame on you for supporting his ill-advised comments w/o regard for Henry's feelings at this time in his life.

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

Henry said he is choosing to sell the business to spend time with his family. Many of us have divorced. We move on with our lives, and do what's best for our families. I took sole custody of my kids - I think I would know a little something about that. I applaud Henry for doing so. For the THIRD TIME, I would like to wish him luck in the future.

The sign today states they are having some kind of farewell party, we drove by and I caught it at the last second not sure what else it says. I hate to see a nice family run place leave us.
