Why is Diane Marco always at Town Hall? I was there again today and there she was! Isn't she supposed to be running the senior center? Or is she really the imaginary deputy deputy supervisor?

Maybe she was filling in for (or as) the confidential secretary again.  No, I don't have proof of it today, but she was doing the job before.  Maybe she's just donating her time to the town?

Not!  She has a part time job with the Town and is "working it" to get the Clerk position!

She also works for Stratton in Schenectady, but I'll bet she will be able to squeeze in today's agenda meeting...where I'm sure she'll have plenty to
say, despite her reminders that the public isn't allowed to speak at those meetings.

So please explain to me how it's her job to answer phones when someone calls the supervisor's office in her appointed position.  Otherwise, I disagree with your statement that "she was NEVER doing the secretary job.  By the way, I did receive a letter regarding the question answer period at town board meetings, but I have yet to see an answer to my question as to why the out of town overpaid secretary couldn't make it to work.

Not her job.  She probably just imposed herself in there.  My understanding is that when that conversation happened with the powers that be it was a non-conversation.  Instead she was given the senior center on a part time basis.  She continues to keep her position in Stratton's office.  However, the truth is, nobody in power there has more experience than DM including the illustrious GP.

Who cares if the secretary lives out of town?  With everything that's wrong in Rotterdam, you're worried over where the secretary lives.  They got themselves one outstanding administrative assistant.

No, I'm worried about my taxes that got raised when this person was hired because of the fact that she was hired and paid an extra $10,000 per year because she had the long commute.  I also voiced opposition to this when they had a public hearing about the raise.  If she's an extra special secretary and gets to work, fine.  If she's not going to show up because it snows a little, then I have a right to wonder why she's not showing up, just like if board members don't show up for a meeting.  I imagine that we could at least begin fixing some od the problems in town if we had that additional money.

Does the job description allow telecommuting?  If so, perhaps she can work from home and save the taxpayers some
money in utility costs.

KM-I can not believe you are raising such an issue.  ou guys sure didn't care when ST was out and about beyond Rotterdam's borders.  He wasn't even answering and returning his calls.  You guys weren't griping then.  Come to grips with the fact it just isn't your turn now.  The Dems are in and like it or not they have the upper hand.

Weak argument Tippy--that got themselves one high powered administrator.  For that you Reps should be glad.  Finally somebody who is totally connected.
