Tomassone and company did the same things.  Held up the web posting of agendas, added, removed items from the agenda, sneaky appts., underhanded contract negotiations.  How about the craplot of events after they lost.  Cutting the attorney's budget, cutting the rec programs, cutting the economic development and Lynn Fiorillo's position.  C'mon ya all speak with forked tongues!  The people have spoken so let this new board cut their teeth so they might gnaw thru the sh!t  storm left behind by Tomassone, Mertz and Signore.  I said it before and I say it again either join them for a better Rotterdam or SHUT THE EFF UP!!!

Your problem peeps is that you can't or won't admit when THIS administration is wrong in so many ways. You are constantly bringing up what the tommasone administration did that you disliked to support your own personal/political agenda.

Are you really saying that it was the right move for the APPOINTED attorney stopped the town board from acknowledging and answering questions posed by the taxpayers that elected them into office? Come on peeps, that just placed a huge wedge between the 'people' and the 'politicians'. Adding insult to injury, it was the APPOINTED attorney who made this decision almost at the end of a meeting. And he did it obviously without consulting the 'elected' officials. Even they had the deer in the headlight look when he came out with that one.

And is that the best ya got...to compare tommasone's administration, when we are talking about how this administration has left out major issues regarding the next meetings agendas? It was done TWO meetings in a row?

Are you also saying that what EE did was NOT a crime even though she admitted to it?

Are you suggesting that the people/taxpayers of rotterdam should come to expect and accept the fact that their elected town board supervisor hasn't lead a meeting yet?

Are you suggesting that the people/taxpayers of rotterdam should also come to expect and accept the fact that their elected town board supervisor and board members will not take a stand on the REMs issue that will effect their wallets?

Are you saying that even though these town board members who ran on lower taxes, can get a pass because they have yet to even mention it at one meeting....not one?

You keep saying that this town board WON!! And you suggest that they won by the majority of the electorate. So are you then saying that shutting the majority of the electorate 'out of the process' during privilege of the floor is the boards way of saying 'thank you'?

Are you suggesting that the people of dolan drive are that insignificant that they do not have the right to come to a town board meeting expecting answers to their questions that will effect their quality of life?

Are you suggesting that the people of Eldorado acres are that insignificant that they do not have the right o come to a town board meeting expecting answers to their questions that will effect their quality of life?

Are you also suggesting that the people who live by the triangle are that insignificant that they don't have the right to know about a development  that will effect their way of life? Don't you even think for a minute that once these people read it in the paper, they think that the new town board just may be trying to slip this one by?

Come on peeps.....let's be sensible here!
It's all perception here peeps.  And without communication from this present town board...NOT THE ATTORNEY..  .. perception will rule!

First..... who's responsibility is it to make sure the information is complete and factual?

Second.... who's responsibility is it to take this information and get it up on the site in a timely manner?

Perhaps this is just a learning curve?

I'm all for development, smart development, but here we go again with 'spot zoning'. The exact thing that has gotten rotterdam in the mess it is in. What is the purpose of a comp plan when an administration can amend it at will? Not even 2 months into this administration and the developers appear to be on the front burner and the residents are on the back.

How can this or any administration allow any further development when there is no infrastructure to support it?

And can someone explain how the proposed apartments at the triangle were first...not on the agenda items one day.....was in the gazette the next day as a go....was added to agenda items the next day.....was in the gazette the next day saying it was put on hold??? WTH? I may be reading this wrong since I just came in from snow blowing my driveway and had only one cup of coffee.

The Comp Plan is meant to be a guide.  It's not meant to be written in stone.  Community needs and growth need to be evaluated periodically.  Golub's rezone makes sense and they have done leaps and bounds to accomodate the neighboring homes.

Why is everyone so focused on the few Dolan Drive residents and not the many residents that will no longer have truck traffic on their road?  Golub will consolidate their warehouse into one location.  That means they won't be running trucks back and forth the length of Dunnsville Road to Voorheesville.  That saves them time, money and exhaust fumes.  I know there goes the environmentalist thinking of the majority and overall community impact supporting granting their expansion. This proposal significantly reduces truck traffic for many Rotterdam residents.

Does anyone think that it will be better if they relocate the warehouse and leave another empty commercial property in Rotterdam?  I know, maybe that can be ballfields, right?

The residents in Coldbrook were severely impacted when Walmart etc. moved in.  It had been vacant for a number of years.  Dumpster noise, traffic, etc.  That's what happens when you live along commerically zoned property.  The Dolan Drive residences border a major Rotterdam taxpaying business.  Golub has been good to the community overall and is trying to be a good neighbor.  The Dolan Drive entrance could be relocated to Dunnsville Road and closed on Duanesburg Road.  The Dolan Drive residents would still have a cul-de-sac and the ingress/egress would be at the apartment complexes not the private homes.  That means less or the same amount of cars traveling through the cul-de-sac.  Understandably it shouldn't be a cut through for Duanesburg Road to Dunnsville Road.  This will alleviate the truck backup and anticipated vision obstruction when exiting Dolan Drive.

Anotherl complaint is looking over how many feet through a major power line at the back of a warehouse by a few residents on Dolan Drive.  Noise impacts is minimized because the warehouse activity will be on the other side of the building.  Those residents should be far more concerned about property values due to that transmission line than looking at the Golub warehouse.

Sometimes folks on the PC, Zoning BA, RCAC and IDA just have to think of what is good for the economy of the town and overall community character impact.  Thus, sometimes a zone request should be granted.  These various boards make recommendations.  The TB makes the final decision.

I haven't studied the Larned proposal yet so I am reserving comment.
