at Guidarelli’s
charged
    SCHENECTADY — A man arrested shortly after a Broadway liquor store burglary now faces a new charge, accused of urinating on his cell floor, authorities said.
    Christopher Andrako, 31, of Lower Broadway, was charged Tuesday with third-degree burglary, a felony, as well as third-degree criminal tampering, a misdemeanor.
    Andrako is accused of breaking into Guidarelli’s Liquor just before 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, taking money, according to papers filed in court.
    Responding officers reviewed video surveillance footage. K-9 officer Sean Clifford then spotted a man in front of Christy’s Bar on Lower Broadway who fit the description of the surveillance footage and arrested Andrako.
    It was later that morning, in a police holding cell, that Andrako is accused of urinating on the cell floor, resulting in the tampering charge.
    The arrest marked the second burglary of a liquor store in as many nights. On Monday, King Cork Liquor in the Crosstown Plaza was also burglarized and two suspects were apprehended by the Schenectady Police.
Robbery, assault

    SCHENECTADY - A 2008 street robbery of a Union College student has resulted in an arrest, authorities said.
    Reginald Deas, 30, was charged Wednesday with one count each of second-degree robbery, a felony, and third-degree assault, a misdemeanor.
    Deas is accused of robbing the 19-year-old student Sept. 30, 2008, while the student sat in a car on Carrie, near Nott street.
    Deas, along with two others, allegedly punched the student repeatedly and stole a cell phone, $5 to $10 and even took a pair of prescription glasses, according to papers filed in court.
    It was unclear if the alleged codefendants have been charged.

    SCHENECTADY - An allegedly stolen credit card has a city man facing a felony, authorities said.
    Kevin Sullivan, 48, of Oakwood Avenue, was charged Wednesday with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony.
    Sullivan is accused of taking a Turbo Tax during an argument with his girlfriend just before 3 a.m. Wednesday, according to papers filed in court.
    Officers allegedly soon recovered the card from Sullivan, according to papers.

Menacing charged
in city incident
    SCHENECTADY - An alleged box cutter threat has a city man facing misdemeanors, authorities said.
    Johnnie R. May, 55, of Brandywine Avenue, was charged Wednesday with one count of second-degree menacing and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, misdemeanors.
    May is accused of attempting to assault a roommate with a box cutter just before 4 a.m. Wednesday at an address on Brandywine Avenue with two children in the same room, according to papers filed in court.

PCP possession
charge alleged
    SCHENECTADY - A city man faces a felony, accused of possessing PCP, authorities said.
    Jeremiah Howard, 34, of Glen Avenue, was charged Monday with one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony.
    Howard is accused of possessing a glass jar containing PCP, just after 6 a.m. Nov. 2 on Maple Avenue, according to papers filed in court.

City men charged
with burglary
    SCHENECTADY - Two city residents face burglary counts in separate incidents, authorities said.
    Alfredo Acosta, 38, of Paige Street, was charged Feb. 5 with third-degree burglary, a felony.
    Acosta is accused of breaking into a Willet Street address that day, kicking in the front door and violating an order of protection, according to papers filed in court.
    Acosta also faces one count of first-degree criminal contempt, a felony, and fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.
    Jamie Davenport, 25, of Division Street, was charged Saturday with one count of second-degree burglary, a felony.
    Davenport is accused of breaking into a Pleasant Street residence and choking a woman at around 6:30 a.m. Saturday, according to papers.
    Davenport is also charged with second-degree unlawful imprisonment and false personation, misdemeanors.

Three face felony
contempt charges
    SCHENECTADY - Three city residents face felony contempt charges in separate cases, authorities said.
    Julian Metz, 34, of Union Street, was charged Tuesday with one count of aggravated criminal contempt, a felony, along with two counts of third-degree assault, misdemeanors.
    Metz is accused of violating an order of protection by shoving a woman as she opened a stove, burning her hand. He also allegedly threatened to kill the woman if she told police, according to papers filed in court.
    Jocelyn Suarez-O’Conner, 20, of Eastern Parkway, was charged Monday with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony, and one count of second-degree aggravated harassment, a misdemeanor.
    Suarez-O’Conner is accused of threatening a woman Monday at about 6:40 p.m., saying he would make her pay, in violation of an order of protection, according to papers.
    William Farrell, 44, of Carrie Street, was charged this week with one count of first-degree criminal contempt, a felony.
    Farrell is accused of violating an order of protection by being at a woman’s home Feb. 7, according to papers.
    Farrell also faces multiple counts of violation harassment, accused of spitting and throwing blood at police and personnel later at Ellis Hospital, according to papers.

Man charged with
mischief, menacing
    SCHENECTADY - A local man faces a felony, accused of trying to break into a residence, damaging a door, authorities said.
    Jacob M. Leibach, 18, no address given, was charged Saturday with one count of third-degree criminal mischief, a felony, and third-degree menacing, a misdemeanor.
    Leibach is accused of damaging the door on Seventh Avenue Saturday, just after 3:30 p.m., and threatening a man with a pipe, according to papers filed in court.

Theft, weapons
indictments made
    SCHENECTADY — Five people were indicted this week in five separate cases, Schenectady County District Attorney’s officials said.
    Adriel McNair, 46, of Troy-Schenectady Road, was indicted on one count each of second-degree grand larceny, second-degree welfare fraud and three counts of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing.
    McNair is accused of illegally receiving more than $100,000 in state and federal benefits between September 2006 and July 2009, authorities have said.
    Michael Sparre, 18, of Princetown Road, was indicted on one count of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
    Sparre is accused of illegally possessing knives with intent to use them against another person Oct. 31 on McClellan Street, officials said.
    Francisco Ortiz, 28, of Bailey Street, was indicted on one count of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
    Ortiz is accused of illegally possessing a bludgeon, a pool ball tied in a sock Oct. 30 at Crane Street and Francis Avenue, officials said.
    Victor Mattson, 31, of Eastern Avenue, was indicted on two counts each of third-degree criminal possession and sale of a controlled substance, felonies.
    Mattson is accused of possessing and selling heroin in September on Eastern Avenue, officials said.
    Melissa Smith, 40, of Maplewood Avenue, was indicted on one count of second-degree burglary.
