Don't let the good intentions argument persuade you. Delgallo said he would run this town like a business. In business, you have to measure peoples competencies against the position they hold and the wage they are getting paid. I doubt Mr. Delgallo would accept this type of dereliction of duties to continue at his private business. At the least an investigation should happen to find out if this was truly an isolated incident, or if there has been greater abuse taking place inside the clerks office. If this is an isolated incident, then it should be put to rest. At the least, the residents deserve an investigation, to assure confidence and trust in that office. The appearance and perception of favoritism is not good for the town.
Eunice has been in Rotterdam politics for many many years, I'm sure she can handle it. |

Ally....would you be so kind as to enlighten us on 'exactly' how EE made rotterdam a better place. Last we all knew....she was not in adecision making nor law making capacity. Tell us what legislation she has voted on? NONE!!!
She was a town 'clerk' with the the ability to notarize....that she abused! Plain and simple! |

Rotterdam messed up decades ago, changing zoning based on WHO owned certain property and what they wanted to do with it. If a home builder had property in a commercially zoned area, it was changed for them so they could make money. If somebody wanted to build a strip mall near residential, it was changed. We have a Mall, a Mobil gas station, a sewer treatment plant, and then a new apartment complex. WHAT! How about Lent Court Apartment? It's an apartment complex in the middle of a business area. WHAT!
A business base isn't the answer to Rotterdam's problems. That's just a convenient excuse for Bobby Iovanella to continue to chop up Rotterdam for his profits. Rotterdam tax bills are so high because of the County taxes and School taxes. The County needs to stop spending money, and Schalmont needs to stop paying $100K+ for a elementary school music teacher. Bring the torches and pitchforks to the school board and county meetings and demand responsible government.
We need change, but not by giving free reign to the same developers that created this towns zoning disaster.
Very good post! |

The only "robots" in this saga are the parades of Democrat sympathizers programmed to defend Esposito's disregard for the law. If "common sense" was her guide, then she apparently has none.
Well if this is truly your opinion, then I expect you to state that at the next town board meeting. |

eunice was wrong....gone done over with.....the very very very sad part is that we sit here and argue about what a nice person she is----NO ONE SAID SHE WASN'T NICE.....
EVERY PERSON in this state(including those poor poor elderly) should be at the capital with pitchforks and burning effigies....the fact that we are 'infighting' is just great for the upper politicos....they can continue on whipping their podium pucks at us to get votes.....STAR amounts to crap....just plain lazy crap that the elected legal legislators we put in office refuse to do......get down to business and stop the a$$ patting after 'the game'......
and as for this town,,,,,the few 'big fish' are upset about the taxes they are paying and got into office to what, remedy that????......the county/state/feds are so SYSTEMICALLY DISEASED that there is nothing more to do than refuse to pay taxes all together.....
and if Mr. FDG thinks he pays too much,,,maybe what he is really saying is "I over invested, why dont they pay as much as me?"---hey, guess what, you built it/bought it/own it....you knew....
suck it up or REALLY go and do something.....
as for Ms.Eunice being a friend of the seniors,,,the seniors should be pi$$ed off at being made to grovel for the crumbs of STAR or anything else.....NO ONE IS MORE EQUAL THAN ANOTHER.......
THE SYSTEM IS SICK,,,,,,,I cant afford you and you cant afford me.......WHY????????
There is a monkey on our back stealing and stealing for things they did not work for......and they are not just the smelly homeless folks,,,,they live in fancy homes too......and in NYS there are quite a few and I'm not talking about the business owners.....but those who live in the business owners pockets and make laws FOR them-----YOU ARE NOT MORE EQUAL........ |

She talks the talk, but doesn't walk the walk. She gets all of her backstabbing supporters and relatives to do her dirty work for her. In her infamous gazette interview, she admitted to notarizing documents, then turned right around and said it was a personal and political attack.....sounds as if she is talking out both sides of her a$$hole. |

You guys are WAY of base. Gadfly--get over yourself. Eunice Esposito has always had the sense to act with both her head and her heart. That is what is wrong with Cons! You guys just don't get it. Tunnel-vision. No room for anyone else who doesn't think like you. Eunice Esposito has worked hard to make Rotterdam a better place while Reps and Cons seek to destroy what is left of this rambling town. I don't think you or anyone else so involved in the Town should be holding themselves up as a beacon of ethical and moral standards. The past administration has already proven otherwise. This administration still needs to prove itself.
Leave Eunice alone. Roger Malebranch's words should be considered.
With all due respect Alleykat, I don't think conservatives are the only ones who expect elected officials to abide by the law. I realize there are plenty of them who do not, but that doesn't make it right. Senders et al are right - no one is disputing EE's service and hospitality, but it has nothing to do with the issue at hand. I am not perfect, and I do not consider myself any better than anyone else...but this is really a simple matter of legal v. illegal. Mrs. Esposito publicly admitted to the latter. No one seems to have even considered the potential consequences of something like this, especially since EE has also admitted that this was not an isolated incident. Think about it AK...how would you like it if, for example, you found out you were on the hook for a large sum of money because a notary signed a sworn statement that she either witnessed your signature, or you stood before her and confirmed your signature when you did not? (One or the other is required for a Notary signature on the document) |

Yes Ben Dr. Malebranche is from Haiti and is one of Schenectady's top surgeons. Hope MM and BT won't need surgery soon. Word up you two--look for a different surgeon. Maybe he would just stitch up mouths as a matter of practice.
What has Eunice done? Are you off your rocker BT. Eunice Esposito has been the face of this town for more than 30 years. She has been a friendly and compassionate associate in Town Hall. She continues to reach out to seniors to answer questions that often loom large for them. Many feel she is the "go to" person when they want answers. She is well thought of by clergy, residents, and politicians from other towns as well. She has done more for this town than all of the past administrations put together. She knows she was set up. "Badfly" sorry your vision needs adjusting.

Ooops I forgot the word IS....again my fingers are faster than my brain.... IS this another Eunice relative, how sad.... Obviously he isn't, but a physician who also takes an oath is praising someone who broke an oath. Thankfully, I will never need Dr. Malebranche's service as a physician as I am sure that there are plenty of other physicians that take their oath seriously. Nothing like a little responsibility and accountability for your actions. |

Better check your details...Dr. M. retired in year 2000! You must know him really well (not)...if you think that he is still practicing! |

Yes melbranch is was a surgeon. And a great one at that. And he is how old now???? And believe me ally....I know that first hand...K? Just because someone is a good surgeon does not constitute his good judge of character....does it? Now as far as EE....you obviously avoided my question. What legislation has EE proposed or voted on while in her elected position? NONE!!! As far as all the help she has supplied to the seniors, well I guess we can do away with the 'social club' at the senior center. Hell, EE has it all under control! And it is quite laughable to even suggest that EE....a TOWN 'CLERK' is the face of rotterdam. She has never been the face of rotterdam and that position NEVER will be, nor should it. Please let's not elevate EE or this position in general, to a god like stature. That position means absolutely nothing to me. It is a 'clerks' position for God's sake. And an overpaid one at that. And should not be or never should have been an elected position. EE has NEVER changed the town of rotterdam by proposing or voting in/out legislation that impacts the residents of this town. CAUSE SHE DOESN'T HAVE THE POWER!!! Get it? However, EE has proven that she DOES have the power to fraudulently break the law! Her arrogance and ignorance of the law, may cause residents to pay for tax breaks they were not entitled to. And remember ally....'compassion' is not excusable by law!! |

A surgeon has ALOT of education and does what they do because they FEEL a need to............that has NOTHING to do with law.....LAW is without soul.....that is why it is law.....IF YOU DONT WANT LAW GET back to the farm.....HONESTLY, REALLY........that IS why national healthcare WILL NEVER f'en work...........GET OVER IT........ |
