Cicero, you're arguing with a cuckoo bird, here.  Don't expect any breakthroughs here!

The US constitution is not Holy scripture-

Cicero is forever getting moral-ethical and spiritual descisions tangled in politics. The moral compass does not belong to Mr Conservative who obsesses about embryos - but ignores the needs of real children-

and plese get yourself a good MEDICAL dictionary - because your posting a bunch of nonsense

Senders,

You still haven't answered.  Do you believe in empowering the government to make laws protecting individuals rights, keeping the strong from dominating the weak.

the right/choice to have sex is already protected.....the decision about what one does with the result is another issue....once the government is allowed to deem what is life
they get to enact ALL kinds of crap heaped upon the masses......if it's the government that is the defender of life then it is also the government that gets to end it
whenever they deem it's okay, either in the womb or in the nursing home or in the wheelchair or in the trailer park or in the burbs educated/uneducated etc etc.......

our foundation was built long before the constitution....the constitution is finite and always will be

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

What R U talking about, embryos?  I thought I was clear I was talking about fetuses.  What does obsessing about embryos and ignoring needs of real children mean?  Are fetus's not real children to you? I wasn't aware that the right to take a life was a spiritual decision.

To kill or not to kill a human being isn't a liberal or conservative issue.  Murder isn't ideological.  It's either right or wrong, and punishable or not punishable by law.

Cicero--just a point--infanticide is not abortion.  Infanticide is killing a baby I believe up to a year old.  But the child has to be born.

Ally ~ as a mother ~ you know that "thing" in your belly was a child.

Anyone ever think that making abortion legal was an 'elitist' project?  It's simple ~ weed out the less desireable in our society.

Yeah Felipe--you don't need to explain that to me.  My post had to do with the definition of infanticide.  Abortion is not that.   I am pro-life and anti-death penalty.  You can't be one without the other.

Abortion is a SURGICAL PROCEDURE - Cicero please  get some CURRENT  medical text books ? Otherwise the Holy US Constitution seems to allow murder and homicide as you call it -

I know they seem incompatible ~ but one deals with an innocent life and the other deals with a person who violates natural law by taking anothers life.

We ~ as a society ~ have a duty to protect the weaker among us ~ that's why our laws and natural law are supposed to work together.

I know that photo.  It was amazing as stories go.  Paterson was walking through the halls of the Assembly when he tripped and George caught him.  They both had a good laugh over it.  What a coincidence that someone with a  camera was there just at thought moment.

Well as the story goes after Paterson fell and Amedore saved him, George asked him to go dancing and so they did.  Why are you having such a hard time with this?

nah, the top of the pyramid in this country were ALWAYS able to find an able bodied MD for the right price to preform 'delicate procedures' for their erring family members
so as not to loose face in the country club........

as for undesirables that is subjective.......
